Henry Cavill pics from my kind of town - CHICAGO

HENRY CAVILL NEWS

Henry poses with Alex Quintero who is a bouncer at the club.

He shared the rest of his story with us (thanks so much Dave!):

I received a phone call from my boyfriend, around 3pm 420/Easter Sunday, who was waiting tables at Jack's on Halsted - 3201 N. HALSTED- and he said he wasn't sure but he thought Henry Cavill was there having brunch w an unknown female. I was house sitting at Irving Park n Kedzi area, so I flew over to Jack's w the hope of a pic n autograph...

Not wanting to get my boyfriend Barry in trouble, I made sure to get permission from Mr. Cavill to approach him after he was done eating cuz the last thing I wanted to do was annoy THE MAN OF STEEL! Anyway, Mr. Cavill said sure and my boyfriend said it was up to me now...so I took a breath and headed toward their table. I introduced myself to Henry and shook his hand then turned to the woman to shake her hand and introduce myself ...turns out the "unknown female" is none other than Gina Carano, star of action flick HAYWIRE, 2008 American Gladiator Crush, world champion MMA fighter. Said hello as Henry was standing up so my boyfriend could take our pic...I was breathless w the double wammy of the two cuz I love her too and wasn't expecting it to be her- I was floored. All I could say to her was that she was gorgeous. Then we took the pic and I handed him my wallet and a black marker - I came prepared for him, not her too tho!- as he signed, I gushed about how a great superman he makes and what a great job he's doin and congratulations and good luck w ur career. Then I walked away to compose myself..they were about to cash out when Henry went to the bathroom - exactly where I was trying to compose. I got out of his way and thanked him again. Then I said to my boyfriend- loud enough for Henry to hear- that I was leaving now so Henry would not get creeped out. But because I spazzed on Gina, I headed to her on the way out, to tell her that he was gorgeous as well as they were together! Congrats and happy Easter! Peace out, faster than a speeding bullet ;-)

Henry Cavill & Gina Carano Are Back Together

SHOWBIZ SPY
Tuesday, April 22, 2014

HENRY Cavill is back with his on/off girlfriend Gina Carano.

The pair have been spotted spending time together in Chicago, where Superman sequel Batman vs. Superman will film later this year.

Over the weekend, the photogenic couple enjoyed drinks at the Vertigo Sky Lounge, atop the 26th floor of the Dana Hotel & Spa, where they took a break from their get-together to pose for pictures with fans, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

Henry and Gina also been seen at Chicago’s SushiSamba.

The pair split last year, and Henry briefly dated Kaley Cuoco.

At the time of the split, it was claimed Gina was jealous of Henry’s career.

“Henry is really lapping up the fame and glory,” a source said

“He knew he would be getting some notice for Man of Steel but his life is absolutely crazy right now.

“Gina is used to having Henry all to herself, and now she has to share him with the world. She really fears she’s going to be swept away by the rising tide of Henry’s career.

Henry Cavill and girlfriend Gina Carano buy a new Akita puppy

Our favorite Man of Steel (sorry, Dean Cain) and MMA fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano have just added a new member to the family. Take a look at their adorable Akita puppy.

The couple was spotted at the Little Rock, Arkansas, airport on Monday, Jan. 6, and it was later revealed on an Arkansas Big Bear Akita breeder's website they were there to pick up the newest member of their pack:

/We are proud to announce the newest members of the Big Bear family! Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) and Gina Carano (Fast and Furious 6) are the proud owners of a Big Bear Akita. It was so great working with Henry and getting to meet him as well as Gina was truly a treat. Both Henry and Gina are genuine and a joy to be around. It was truly an honor to add them to our extended family and [we] thank them for their patience in meeting us and our children. It's not every day that an A-list celebrity, much less 2 celebrities come to Beebe, AR to visit.

Rumor has it the couple plans to name the new pooch Kal-El (Superman's given name), but we have a few more suggestions just in case they want to go with something a little less on the wet nose.

HENRY CAVILL: Box office report: 'Man of Steel' scores super $125.1 million debut, breaks June record by Grady Smith (ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY)

man-of-steel-09.jpg

Faster than a speeding bullet, Warner Bros.’ $225 million franchise reboot Man of Steel has become a box office behemoth.

The superhero film began its run with a massive $125.1 million ($113.1 million over the traditional weekend, $12 million from corporate screening programs on Thursday), breaking the record for the biggest June opening weekend ever, ahead of Toy Story 3‘s $110.3 million bow in 2010.  Among 2013 films, Man of Steel had the second best debut of the year behind Iron Man 3, which started with $174.1 million in May.

Man of Steel garnered a fantastic $29,731 per theater average from its 4,207 locations. The film grossed $13.3 million in IMAX theaters, and 41% of its business came from 3D ticket sales. Audiences were 56 percent male and 44 percent female, a more even gender distribution than Iron Man 3, which had a 61/39 percent male/female split on opening weekend. The dashing looks of Henry Cavill (and Amy Adams’ appeal) no doubt helped Man of Steel play well with women. Reviews were mixed, but crowds issued the film a strong “A-” CinemaScore.

For Cavill, Adams, and the rest of the cast — which includes Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne, and Michael Shannon — Man of Steel became their best ever opening weekend. The same goes for director Zack Snyder, who formerly saw gigantic numbers when 300 bowed with $70.9 million in 2007.

Man of Steel also clobbered the debut of 2006′s Superman Returns, which opened with $52.5 million and earned $200 million domestically against a $270 million budget. Widely considered a box office misfire, Superman Returns did not, in fact, return. In about one week, Man of Steel will likely have surpassed that film’s domestic total.

The news couldn’t be better for Warner Bros., which — with the exceptions of The Great Gatsby and 42 — has badly struggled at the box office in 2013. Films like Jack the Giant Slayer, The Hangover Part III, Beautiful Creatures, Bullet to the Head, and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone have massively under-performed at the box office, so Man of Steel‘s success is a welcome change. “We’re thrilled,” says Dan Fellman, the studio’s president of domestic distribution, “and it will fly through the summer. We’re going to have legs on this film.”

Fellman also notes that Man of Steel‘s success brings Warner Bros. and DC Comics one step closer to creating a Justice League franchise that might rival Marvel/Disney’s Avengers. The exec wouldn’t confirm whether Henry Cavill has already been contracted to star in Justice League films, though he did coyly remark, “Henry will be around for a while.”

Internationally, Man of Steel soared with $71.6 million in its first weekend, including $17.6 million in the United Kingdom and $9.8 million in Mexico. The film has yet to open in a number of large markets, but it’s already clear that it will easily outdo Superman Returns $191 million international haul.

Luke Evans: Luke Evans To Join Fast Six As A Villain May 10, 2012 by Jez Sands (ON THE BOX)

Following rumours last week that he was thinking about taking a role in Fast Six, things have progressed rather rapidly and he’s now in negotiations to play the big bad.

No details at the moment but it’ll see the returning cast of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Jordan Brewster teaming up once again to pull off a daring heist. You would have thought that by now, their names and descriptions would have been circulated to every law enforcement agency the world over. Anyway, this time they’ll have some competition from another group of thieves and Luke Evans will be the man leading them.
And of course The Rock will be in hot pursuit and Gina Carano will be tagging along for the ride.

Luke Evans is finalizing a deal to play the villain in Fast 6, the latest installment of Universal’s Fast & Furious franchise.

Paul Walker and Vin Diesel are set to return as rogue heroes Brian O’Conner and Dominic Toretto. Dwayne Johnson is reprising his role as Diplomatic Security Service Agent Luke Hobbs, out to capture the boys. And Gina Carano will play a member of Johnson’s team.

David Tennant In Talks To Join Fast And Furious 6 Posted May 3, 2012 by Blake Dew in News (WE GOT THIS COVERED)

When Jason Statham‘s name came up as a contender for a role in Fast and Furious 6, the fit seemed kind of natural. But then came Luke Evans. Seeing as Evans is crafting himself a name as a serious dramatic actor, he just wasn’t the type of actor that I thought the studio would be after.

Now though, we have an ever more obscure actor in the mix to join the film. Latino Review have learnt that former Doctor Who star David Tennant is currently in talks with director Justin Lin to take on a role in the sixth installment of the franchise.
