They explore the emotional effects of extramarital relationships as co-stars on Showtime's hit television show The Affair.
And Joshua Jackson, 39, and Dominic West, 47, were spotted getting right back into the swing of things while filming scenes for the fourth season of the show in New York on Wednesday afternoon.
The actors appeared to be shooting a somber funeral scene in the East Hampton area as Jackson rested against a tombstone.
The actors seemed to be filming in a graveyard and were surrounded by an abundance of greenery, flowers and headstones.
In The Affair, the pair play the significant others of lead characters Noah and Alison (portrayed by British actors Dominic West and Ruth Wilson), who are having an affair.
The Dawsons Creek star took a quick break from filming to grab a light snack as he walked through the set.
Showtime picked up the drama for a fourth season in January, but has yet to share the release date as filming began in early September

Benedict Cumberbatch To Star In Limited Series ‘Melrose’ Picked Up By Showtime
DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD
by Nellie Andreeva
February 28, 2017 5:00am
Showtime Networks has ordered Melrose, a five-part limited series toplined and executive produced by Sherlock and Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch.
The project, a co-production of Showtime and Sky Atlantic, is based on the Patrick Melrose series of semi-autobiographical novels written by Edward St. Aubyn. David Nicholls (Far From the Madding Crowd), who called Cumberbatch “the perfect Patrick Melrose,” is writing all five episodes of the TV adaptation. Search is underway for a director.
Melrose skewers the upper class as it tracks the protagonist’s harrowing odyssey from a deeply traumatic childhood through adult substance abuse and, ultimately, toward recovery. Cumberbatch’s Patrick Melrose is an aristocratic and outrageously funny playboy who struggles to overcome the damage inflicted by a horribly abusive father and the mother who tacitly condoned the behavior. Each episode will follow one of the five novels, and take place over the course of a few intense days in the life of the protagonist. The settings range from the South of France in the 1960s to New York in the 1980s and Britain in the early 2000.

Homeland stars reveal a few spoilers for up-coming third series

LONDON EVENING STANDARD REPORTER
July 30, 2013
Spoiler alert! Homeland stars Damian Lewis and Claire Danes have revealed a series of clues about the show’s third series to be screened here later this year.
The actors admitted its main character, former hostage and double agent Nicholas Brody, played by Lewis, will not appear in the first two episodes.
Lewis, 42, who has won an Emmy for the role, said: “He’s on the lam. He’s disappeared into a network Carrie has effected, and he’s the most wanted criminal in the world, so he has to lay low. I do hope that when you do see Brody for the first time, it will be real, real interesting.”

Howard Gordon Talks Homeland, Bringing Back 24 & Casting Sean Bean In TNT’s Legends

ACCESS HOLLYWOOD
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. -- “Homeland” is gearing up to return to Showtime for its third season this September and Executive Producer Howard Gordon hinted at the drama ahead.
“The focus this season really is the aftershocks of last year,” Howard told AccessHollywood.com at TNT’s 25th anniversary bash following Wednesday’s portion of the Television Critics Association Summer Tour in Beverly Hills.
Gordon said nothing is set yet, so they are keeping those writers’ room ideas under wraps. He was happy, however, to open up about his new show coming to TNT – “Legends,” starring former “Game of Thrones” star Sean Bean.
“He’s electric,” Gordon said of casting Bean as his leading man, Martin Odum, an agent working for the Deep Cover Operations division of the FBI.
“I had been a fan of his for so many years,” Gordon said. “The thing about Sean is he is extraordinary and charismatic and he’s a movie star, but he’s an actor and this part is about being an actor.”
And Gordon praised Bean’s performance in Season 1 of “Thrones.”
“It was transcendent and he has that kind of dignity and that kind of grace and the pathos that I think audiences have connected with and I hope this is a part and a role that really reengages the audiences with him,” Gordon said.
“Legends” premieres on TNT in 2014.

Fans battle to bring back The Borgias (TELEGRAPH)

By Caroline Hedley, Los Angeles5:56PM BST 22 Jun 2013
Devotees of the acclaimed historical drama starring Jeremy Irons as the corrupt 15th century Pope Alexander VI are to send hundreds of cans of sardines to the office of Showtime’s head of entertainment David Nevins, after the network announced it had cancelled plans for a promised fourth season of the show.
“Many of us feel that we have been cheated,” said Barbara Christel, organiser of the Bring Back The Borgias Facebook group.
“We were told we would have four seasons originally, but The Borgias was cancelled with just two episodes left of the third season. In one episode, Pope Alexander told his Cardinals: 'We shall dine on sardines’ during Lent. We decided to send cans of sardines to Showtime on June 28th as a sign that we, the fans, feel deprived.” The third series of the drama, written by Oscar-winning filmmaker Neil Jordan, is currently airing on a satellite channel in Britain but has already concluded in the US. The show also stars British actress Holliday Grainger as Medieval Italy’s notorious femme fatale, Lucrezia Borgia.
The lavishly-produced series, which was filmed on location in Budapest, is estimated to have cost almost £2.5 million an episode to create.
Despite a warm industry reception — The Borgias received 10 Emmy award nominations, a Golden Globes nod for Irons, and was described as “addictively entertaining” and “sumptuous” by critics - its third season ratings were steady but unspectacular, with an average of 2.4 million weekly viewers.
An online petition against the premature cancellation of the next series has attracted more than 10,000 signatures, and a Twitter campaign #SaveTheBorgias sparked more than 3400 Tweets in one hour.
One devoted fan has even created a range of T-shirts, bearing the slogan: “We are Borgia (sic) and we feel unloved.” Josef Alti, who plays Pypar in the US fantasy drama Game Of Thrones, is supporting the campaign, and François Arnaud, who plays papal progeny Cesare Borgia, has openly expressed his disappointment at the series’ termination.

Ray Stevenson Talks Season 7 of DEXTER, How He Got Involved, Playing the Villain, Working on a Secretive Show, Plus THOR: THE DARK WORLD & DIVERGENT by Christina Radish (COLLIDER) Posted: May 15th, 2013 at 7:48 am
Ray Stevenson is a great actor. So, when I heard that he would be playing the villain on Season 7 of the Showtime drama series Dexter, I was very intrigued, and he definitely didn’t disappoint. As Isaak Sirko, the ruthless leader of the Koshka Brotherhood, Stevenson gave a complex and layered performance of a character where there was certainly more than meets the eye.
During this recent exclusive interview with Collider, actor Ray Stevenson talked about how he came to be a part of Dexter, how he wished his character could have gotten Dexter (Michael C. Hall) on a kill table, that he loved working with such a great cast and crew, what it was like to work on such a secretive show, and just how much more villainous a stone cold killer can get when you break his heart. He also talked about being a part of the Marvel universe as Volstagg in the Thor films and the challenges of wearing such an extensive fat suit, as well as what appealed to him about Divergent, in which he’s playing Marcus. Check out what he had to say after the jump, and be aware that there are some spoilers.
Collider: How did you come to be a part of Dexter?
RAY STEVENSON: Scott Buck, who’s the showrunner, had worked with Bruno Heller on the series Rome, that I did, and the call came out of the blue. I knew that it was a very privileged thing to get offered this nine episode lead baddie, as such. When he started telling me about it, and said he was this Ukrainian mob boss whose business associate friend gets killed and that he’s worst than any other hit man, I was like, “Yeah, okay.” But then, when he told me the reveal, I went, “Oh, god, Scott, I’m in!”
When you’ve got gangsters who are homosexual, it always has to be something deviant to them. This guy was a stone cold killer, but there always has to be some perverse deviance about a gay gangster guy. This guy didn’t have that. His heart was ripped out. His heart had been broken and that’s why he went after Dexter. So I said, “Okay, Scott, now you’ve got my attention. Yes, I want to do it!”
I was delighted at the chance. It was courageous of them to go for it, and I was very happy not to end up on Dexter’s table. At one point, I said, “What if I got Dexter on his table and put the knife across his lips, and then go, ‘You’re too pretty to kill’?” And then, you could just see me leave on my G4 and not know where he’s going. But, it was a beautiful ending. Working with Michael [C. Hall] was just brilliant. He’s the real deal. Everybody is. It’s an amazing crew and cast.
Was the unexpectedness of the character what ultimately appealed to you most?
STEVENSON: It was really lovely, the way they went for it and allowed Dexter’s character to find somebody, in the weirdest place, that he could actually talk to about the detachment of being a cold serial murderer, but who is really scared about being emotionless in other aspects of his life. They took some bold choices, which is a testament to the series itself.
Had you been aware of how important the villains are to each season of Dexter?
STEVENSON: I don’t get a chance to follow TV. I try to catch whatever series is out there, every now and then. So, they opened me up to this, and then I realized how important it was to have this nine episodic piece. The character played such a pivotal role in that season. He wasn’t just in for one episode, or two or three episodes, as a villain-of-the-week sort of thing. That’s when it dawned on me. It was a tremendous opportunity. I just loved it, and I loved working on it.

Jeremy Irons: ‘THE BORGIAS’ SEASON 4 NOT LIKELY, SHOWTIME PLOTS MOVIE WRAP-UP? by Kevin Fitzpatrick May 8, 2013 7:30 PM (SCREEN CRUSH)

Rarely have Showtime series been in actual danger of cancellation, but Jeremy Irons’ papal drama ‘The Borgias’ may soon find itself without a fourth season. Via Deadline, we’ve learned the under-performing period drama could instead graduate to a two-hour movie wrapping up the series plot, in lieu of a fourth season.
“I would like to finish it with a two-hour movie,” series creator Neil Jordan told the British press. “Another 10 episodes is kind of exhausting. I’ve mapped out a movie, which, if (Showtime brass) agree, will shoot in June with the same cast, and finally the Pope will die horribly.” ‘The Borgias’ had long been a moderate ratings performer for Showtime, though recent episodes have gained momentum as high as 674,000 viewers.
Wrapping up ‘The Borgias’ with a film would fall in line with Showtime’s commitment to provide floundering series with proper endings, much as ‘The Big C‘ was granted four additional episodes to wrap up its final arc. “It’s really important to me that our audience feels taken care of,” Showtime boss David Nevins said earlier this year.

The Borgias 3.03 Sneak Peeks: Cesare Has Been Ordered to France Written By Shilo Adams on April 22nd, 2013 at 1:48 pm (TVOM)
The attempt on Pope Alexander's life could have sent the Borgia Pope into hiding, fearful of exposing himself to the same threats that nearly cost him the throne. However, Alexander is nothing if not ambitious, so the near-death experience made him hungrier to gain a stronghold in the area and arm himself with enough resources to vanquish whatever plan Catherina Sforza has been cooking up. In doing so, though, he's going to have to use both Cesare and Lucrezia as pawns; will they be willing to go along with what their father wants and marry royalty from enemy lands?
On the next episode of The Borgias, Alexander has tasked Cesare with finding a bride in France after Lucrezia marries Alfonso. Naples and France are mortal enemies, but France has such a fearsome reputation and abundant resources that Rome needs to have the state in its palm. Their supplies have been dwindling at the exact wrong time, since Catherina Sforza has been pulling the strings of the Romagna families and gathering a force of her own, so the alliance with France will ensure that they have enough firepower and food to last them a battle of any length. Naples was once thought to be a key get for the Holy Father, but with the difficulty that King Ferdinand has been giving them and Cesare's accounts of their empty coffers, they might not be the important ally that they once looked to be.

The Borgias: A Behind the Scenes Look at Season 3 Written By Shilo Adams on March 5th, 2013 at 7:24 pm (TV OVER MIND)
The Borgia family suffered a series of blows last season that left them staggering. While Lucrezia lost Pablo and was forced to think about remarrying before she was ready, Cesare fell further out of favor with Rodrigo and Juan never recovered from an infected leg and humiliation on the battlefield, all but forcing Cesare to put him out of his misery. However, arguably the toughest blow was dealt by Cardinal della Rovere, who managed to infiltrate the Borgia camp and execute a hit on Rodrigo with a dosage of poison. This season on The Borgias, will Rodrigo be able to retain the papacy and recover from what happened before anyone can either finish him?

Hello Ray Stevenson you silver fox Posted on March 2, 2013 By Pip Ellwood - (EF)
We know that fancying the villain in a series is not usually the done thing but Ray Stevenson is making us a little swoony in the new season of Dexter.
The Irish actor plays Isaak Sirko, the mob boss that makes Dexter’s life a misery over the course of the seventh season. He also has the Miami Metro Homicide Division in his sights. Ooo he’s an evil bugger.
/Ray’s been in loads of stuff over the years including Rome, Thor and The Three Musketeers. He’s definitely a bit of a silver fox and sometimes we prefer an older man.

Henry Cavill: We get the inside scoop about working with Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Henry Cavill
With The Tudors, which chronicles the early years of King Henry VIII, soon to be shown from the very beginning on Sony TV, Entertainmentwise took the opportunity to sit down with Michael Hirst, the writer, creator and executive producer of the award-winning television drama. We got the inside scoop on what it was like working with a star-studded cast including 'Bend it Like Beckham'’s Jonathan Rhys Meyers and the new Superman himself, Henry Cavill.
Q. What inspired and drew you to create a television show around the life of a young Henry Tudor?
A. The truth is that I was asked to do it. A young American TV producer came over to meet me and he thought he could turn the Tudor dynasty into an American TV soap opera, which made me laugh. Of course I had written a film about Elizabeth I, and I loved the Tudor period, and I think at the time Working Title and I had debated on whether to do Elizabeth I or Henry VIII. I’d always wanted to do Henry VIII. Like Elizabeth I’d had this feeling that it had never properly been addressed.
Q. Tell us what it was like working with Henry Cavill who plays Henry's best friend Charles Brandon in The Tudors?
A. (Laughs) Yes well he’s Superman now!
Q. I know! When you cast Henry Cavill, did you think he would become a massive star and be cast as Superman in the new Man of Steel film?
A. My partner, who is a producer in Ireland, had worked with Henry Cavill since he had been a boy and he had shot a couple of movies in Ireland. He suggested him for the show, but we had to convince the Americans. And after the first casting with all the executives, the reaction was: 'We have to have him!'
Q. I would cast him!
A. Yes that was the general feeling from everyone, and he was absolutely lovely to work with. He’s very quiet and modest and shy. He would ask me how I wanted him to play scenes, he even asked me once: 'I want to go to the gym what should I work on?' (Laughs) He is very endearing. It’s great that he is with Henry for the whole four series and he remained Henry’s best friend – they died within a short time of each other. It was wonderful that I could take him through all these series.

Ray Stevenson: ‘Dexter’ receives 5 nominations in 4 categories for the 39th Saturn Awards By Ste Taylor at 2:30 pm, February 21, 2013 - @stevenjtay (HYPABLE)
Showtime’s flagship show, Dexter, has received 5 nominations in the upcoming 39th Saturn Awards, but will Dexter hold off the competition?
The Saturn Awards are quite an exclusive group to be nominated for as The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror only recognise the very best television shows of these genres, and it’s with pleasure we can announce that Dexter has been nominated for a total of 5 awards.
Dexter has been a huge television favourite for 7 years now, and having already picked up 5 wins at the Saturn Awards since 2006, the crew behind Dexter are surely wanting to put their three year dry spell behind them after last claiming a Saturn Award back in 2009 for Julie Benz’s win in the Best Supporting Actress Role in a Television Series.
Dexter has been nominated for Best Cable Television Series, Best Television Actor (Michael C. Hall), Best Supporting Actress (Jennifer Carpenter) and two nominations for Dexter have fallen in the Best Guest Starring Role in a Series, with Yvonne Strahovski and Ray Stevenson competing for that accolade.
And, with 5 nominations in the bag, surely Dexter will pick up at least one of these awards? It’s going to be tough, no doubt.

‘The Borgias’ Season 3 Trailer: Can Only “A Borgia Love A Borgia”? (TV EQUALS)
“It seems only a Borgia can love Borgia.” The sinfully good season three trailer for Showtime’s The Borgias hints that there could be a very literal interpretation of that line awaiting us this year. After two seasons of establishing the close bond (and insane chemistry) between Borgia siblings Lucrezia (Holliday Grainger) and Cesare (Francois Arnaud), the promo strongly hints that the duo’s relationship might finally take on a carnal nature. “It is a game of want and wanting,” Lucrezia tells her brother. The question is will they give in?

The Following: Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy and Kevin Williamson Preview TV's Next Big Thriller (E!)
by Jenna Mullins
How do you get someone like Kevin Bacon to star in your TV show? Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries) apparently has the key.
"When it came time to cast Ryan Hardy I was like, 'Well, we need someone like Kevin Bacon. We should get someone like Kevin Bacon,' thinking we'd never get someone like Kevin Bacon," Williamson tells us. Turns out, Kevin had all the ammunition he needed in the form of his pilot script.
"I knew that I wanted to do something that was heroic. And I knew that if I was going to do something heroic the guy would have to be complex and have vulnerabilities…and have a certain kind of damaged nature," Bacon says to us about his retired FBI character. "The show moves at a breakneck speed, and every time I get a new script, I pick it up and what I'm mostly amazed at is that both from a plot standpoint and from a character standpoint, there are so many things I don't see coming."
