Emails about Michael Fassbender leaked in Sony hack just a day after another described Angelina Jolie as a 'brat'

Michael Fassbender Shame animated GIF

Oscar-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin claimed that he had no idea who Michael Fassbender was according to the latest tranche of embarrassing emails leaked as part of the Sony cyber-hacking scandal.

The emails reveal, however, that others at Sony were aware of the actor - or at least the size of his manhood - with producer Michael De Luca allegedly claiming in one email that the star, 'makes you feel bad to have normal sized male genitalia.'

The actor gained notoriety after playing Brandon Sullivan in 2011’s sexual exploration movie Shame and appearing in a full-frontal nude scene that revealed an impressive appendage.

The latest leaks concern Sony’s failed attempts to make a movie about the life of Apple co-funder Steve Jobs, which Sorkin was adapting from Walter Isaacson’s biography.

The emails reveal Sorkin’s attempt to lobby for Tom Cruise to take the lead role and reveal his initial disdain when informed that Fassbender, Oscar-nominated for 12 Years A Slave, was favored for the role.

‘I don't know who Michael Fassbender is and the rest of the world isn't going to care,’ was his sniffy reply to Columbia Pictures Chairman Amy Pascal and movie producer Scott Rudin.

It was Rudin who called Angelina Jolie a 'minimally talented spoiled brat' in another email, while the latest leak of documents by the group calling themselves ‘the Guardians of Peace,’ are from Pascal’s email box.

Her exchanges with Rudin and Sorkin reveal that an extensive list of Hollywood big hitters had been considered for the Jobs role.

However Sorkin eventually came round to the idea of Fassbender and wrote, 'F*** it. He's a great actor whose time has come.'

'That’s where I ended up,' Pascal replied.

'Yeah, if the movie’s good, he’ll be on the cover of everything and get nominated for everything,' Sorkin conceded.

Sony producer Michael De Luca chimed in with one email adding that the star, 'makes you feel bad to have normal sized male genitalia'.

Emily Blunt Admits Breastfeeding is Like Something Out of a 'Horror Movie'

THE STIR
by Lisa Fogarty 19 hours ago

Emily Blunt was, well, extremely blunt recently about her experience as a first-time mommy breastfeeding her cutie-pie daughter, Hazel. We're all so used to hearing only positive reactions from celebs who have chosen to nurse, and there may be a great reason for that -- breastfeeding obviously has a good many benefits. But let's be real. It can also be difficult. And strange. Especially if it's your first time feeling the sensation of your breasts filling up with milk and waking up in the morning to find that your boobs resemble inflated balloons.

The actress didn't hold back on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and shared exactly what she thinks about breastfeeding -- and how hubby John Krasinski is doing his part as a good partner to support her.

Emily told the tale of where she was and what was running through her mind the minute her milk came in. It was 3 a.m., she says, and she was sneaking into the bathroom when John woke up. She turned around and gave him the shock of a lifetime -- two "enormous" and "veiny" boobs that were like something out of a "horror movie."

Rosamund Pike: ‘Gone Girl’ Movie Spoilers: 5 Things We Know About The Gillian Flynn Film Adaptation

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TIMES
By Rebecka Schumann
on March 11 2014 2:33 PM

Gone Girl" Movie Still

“Gone Girl,” the film adaptation of the best-selling Gillian Flynn novel, has already wrapped filming, but fans of the popular crime/drama are still being kept in the dark regarding the upcoming feature. Despite being in post-production, the movie, which follows the tale of Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck), a journalist in the search of his missing wife, Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike), only a singular image of the feature showing Affleck doing his best impression of the fictional character has since been released.

Fortunately for fans that cannot wait for the film’s October 3, 2014 release, here are five other things we know about the upcoming David Fincher directed adaptation:

Already getting Oscar buzz

“Gone Girl” has yet to release a teaser, yet movie buffs are already giving the David Fincher film Oscar buzz. Could this Gillian Flynn adaptation earn itself an Academy Award statuette for best picture? The future remains to be seen for this crime/drama, but according to multiple film critics, the feature does have a shot for a nomination following Fincher’s “The Social Network” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” recognitions for directing.

A new third act

Despite Flynn already completing fictional characters Nick and Amy Dunne's story following the completion of the 2012 novel, the movie will reportedly use a different ending than the best-selling book. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (her former employer) in January, Flynn revealed that as the film’s screenwriter she had been hired to write a new third act for the story’s silver screen debut, a proposition she appeared to be more than happy to fulfill. “There was something thrilling about taking this piece of work that I’d spent about two years painstakingly putting together with all its eight million LEGO pieces and take a hammer to it and bash it apart and reassemble it into a movie,” Flynn told the magazine.

Rosamund Pike beat out big names

Rosamund Pike, a native British actress, best known for her role in the 2012 Tom Cruise thriller “Jack Reacher,” has fame incomparable to the likes of Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman and Emily Blunt, but the 35-year-old film star reportedly beat out all the big name A-listers scoring the film's leading role of Amy Dunne. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Pike also trumped actors Abbie Cornish and Olivia Wilde to play the “Gone Girl” leading lady.

Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley meet Bethany Weatherill, 11, and Play Nurse Sam Clarkson Pics: Sarah Caldecott

IT'S not every day that the North-East is touched by Hollywood stardom.

So when two A-list movie stars dropped in on a local hospice it certainly made for a Christmas to remember.

Film star Tom Hardy and his fiancee, the actress Charlotte Riley, spent more than an hour meeting and chatting with patients and staff when they called in at the Butterwick House Children's Hospice in Stockton, Teesside to hand over a cheque for £24,000.

The London-born star of Batman - The Dark Knight Rises and science fiction thriller Inception, 36, raised the money when he took part in an expedition in Siberia with Miss Riley's uncle, Peter Riley, who has been involved with the Hospice from the outset.

The couple, who met on the set of Wuthering Heights, enjoyed a tour of the hospice and met with 11-year-old patient Bethany Weatherill while in the region for a family Christmas.

Miss Riley, 31, who was born in Grindon, near Stockton and stars with Tom Cruise in the upcoming movie Edge of Tomorrow, said: "It must be really difficult for the families of the people and children who stay at the Hospice as they are all seriously ill, but they must take some consolation from the fact the all the staff are always really happy, friendly and devoted.

Christopher McQuarrie Will Direct Colin Firth In ‘Three to Kill’

Colin Firth Single Man Christopher McQuarrie Will Direct Colin Firth In Three to Kill

SCREEN RANT
Published 9 hours ago by Andrew Crump

Since busting out of director jail last year and helming a big screen treatment of Jim Grant’s Jack Reacher series, Christopher McQuarrie has been making every effort to keep himself busy; the former Wolverine scribe has hopped on board for a feature-length rendition of British TV series Unforgiven (not, as one might assume, a remake of the classic Clint Eastwood Western), and more recently signed up to take the reigns on Mission: Impossible 5, which will reunite him with Reacher star Tom Cruise. (To say nothing of his numerous writing credits, which include, but aren’t limited to, Jack the Giant Slayer and Cruise’s 2014 sci-fi action flick, Edge of Tomorrow.)

Now, McQuarrie has added yet another production to his burgeoning pile: an adaptation of Three to Kill, a book by French author Jean-Patrick Manchette. That’s not to be confused with Three Days to Kill, also French, but a completely different picture altogether. Manchette’s narrative, set on the country’s coast, revolves around a businessman who finds himself caught in the sights of two ruthless killers after witnessing a murder; with McQuarrie at the wheel and Howard Rodman on script duty, the leading role has been handed over to Colin Firth, though no other casting information has been made available thus far.

James McAvoy Is The Doctor To Daniel Radcliffe's Igor In New Frankenstein Movie

CINEMA BLEND
Author: Katey Rich
published: 2013-07-25 13:58:11

You know how there are all these rumors about how Tom Cruise hires co-stars who are willing to slouch or who are also vertically challenged so he doesn't look so short onscreen? Those are the kind of crazy lengths you have to go to when you're a very small A-lister, but James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe have come up on a much easier solution-- find short actors you like, team up, look totally tall in comparison to each other onscreen. Deadline reports that McAvoy, who is 5'7, has been cast opposite Radcliffe, who is 5'5, in a new adaptation of Frankenstein. Yes, another one. Radcliffe will play the assistant Igor-- no word on whether it comes with a hunchback this time-- and McAvoy will be the titular doctor.

Radcliffe first signed up for the project back in February, and casting for the Frankenstein role started last month, with up-and-comers like Toby Kebbell and Jack Huston eyed for the part. McAvoy is considerably more famous, and already has another very successful franchise at the same studio with X-Men: First Class and the upcoming Days of Future Past. It's surprising when a studio spends some time eyeing up-and-comers before deciding to stick with a more established actor, especially one who's likely far more expensive, but perhaps the appeal of teaming up Professor X and Harry Potter was too much to resist.

LIAM Neeson was one of Tinseltown’s top 10 earners last year as his paydays from Taken 2 and The Grey saw him rake in €24m.

The Irishman came in 10th on a list of Hollywood heavyweights compiled by Forbes magazine headed up by reformed bad boy Robert Downey Jr.

It was finally a good year for Ballymena boy Neeson, 61, who threw himself into his work following the tragic death of wife Natasha Richardson.

Downey Jr, 48, rocketed from nowhere to lead the posse thanks to the massive box office superhero hits The Avengers and Iron Man 3.

Henry Cavill: Who Will Replace Tom Cruise in Guy Ritchie’s ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ By Brigid Brown | Posted on May 29th, 2013 (BBC America)

Henry Cavill is in talks to sign on to The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (Examiner.com)

Guy Ritchie is set to direct the spy-fi film The Man From U.N.C.L.E based on the TV series that ran from 1964-68 … but, he’s short a lead actor. Originally Tom Cruise was scheduled to star opposite Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger) but as of last week, Cruise has dropped out of the project to focus on Mission: Impossible 5, reports Deadline.com.

It’s in the early stages but the there are talks of Henry Cavill, the new Superman, as Cruise’s replacement. Coincidentally, Variety reports that Cavill auditioned for the role that went to Hammer. It sounds like Cavill was interested at one point and we’re hoping he still is, we’d like to see him take on a role of a secret agent of U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law Enforcement).

ROSAMUND PIKE: FILMS IN 2013 INCLUDE THE WORLD'S END AND A LONG WAY DOWN (FAN SHARE) BY: ELIZABETH DARRELL

Rosamund Pike has had a busy couple of years, but she's yet to hit the jackpot with a big budget movie that manages to introduce her to audiences around the world. Although she was seen in 'Wrath of the Titans' and 'Jack Reacher' in the last two years, both geared to be international blockbusters, the films ended up underperforming and barely staying on anyone's radar.

However, Pike's seemed to veer away from those types of films of late, and her next few films show a lot of promise. Pike will first be seen in 'The World's End' in august, starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Martin Freeman. The film deals with five friends who unite for an epic pub crawl, and end up becoming humanity's only hope for survival. Although people have been comparing this with the other apocalypse comedy 'This Is The End', it looks like both films have vastly different tones.

No-one's looking at you Tom! Leggy Rosamund Pike steals Cruise's spotlight in white mini-dress at Jack Reacher photocall By FEHINTOLA BETIKU and CHLOE THOMAS (MAIL ON LINE)

Leaving Tom in the shade: Rosamund Pike (centre) wowed in white on Wednesday at the Jack Reacher photocall in Tokyo

In Tom Cruise's latest movie Jack Reacher she takes on the role of the leading lady as defense attorney Helen Rodin.

And on Wednesday as Rosamund Pike took to photocall for the Christopher McQuarrie film in Toyko she managed to upstage Cruise.

Wearing a short white pleated mini-dress, Rosamund, 33, left her co-star Tom, 50, in the shade as she commanded the attention in the auditorium with her leggy showing.

Standing with her Cruise on her right and and director McQuarrie on her left, Rosamund beamed as she cut a glamorous figure in front of the cameras.

With her shoulder length straight blonde hair styled in a side parting, Pike's sleeveless high neckline number did well to put her enviable pins on display.

Keeping her make-up light, a pair of black leopard print stilettos completed the mother-of-one's understated yet striking guise.

Rosamund Pike, Tom Cruise’s latest co-star, is a classically trained Brit skilled in blockbusters Films like 'Jack Reacher' expand opportunities, says star of 'Made in Dagenham' and 'Pride and Prejudice' (NY DAILY NEWS)

BY MIKE HAMMER / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS PUBLISHED: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 25, 2012, 6:00 AM UPDATED: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 25, 2012, 6:00 AM

British actress Rosamund Pike has quietly become the woman who gives blockbusters their brains.

The beauty who co-stars with Tom Cruise in “Jack Reacher,” which opened last Friday, has previously busted chops as a sexy villainess in the 2002 James Bond flick “Die Another Day” and faced off against the Rock in “Doom.”

Earlier this year, she enticed the ancient world as Andromeda in the myth-merizing action sequel “Wrath of the Titans.”

“I’ve had tremendous opportunities to work with some wonderful people on projects that have given me a huge spotlight,” she says of her ass-kicking résumé — after training that would seemingly lean more Streep than Stallone. “It’s been great fun, and gives me the freedom.”

Pike, a classically trained, London-bred daughter of concert musicians and opera performers, performed with Britain’s National Youth Theatre as a teen. She built a solid Shakespearean background even before leaving high school.

“I’ve loved doing those action films,” says Pike, 33. “They’ve provided me with great experiences and opportunity.

“But I would argue actually that ‘Jack Reacher’ is not a classic action film ... and a lot of that has to do with the way Tom approaches it.”

Rosamund Pike: It was startling to meet Jack Reacher co-star Tom Cruise (METRO)

Sitting on a plush grey sofa, her posture so perfect you’d think she’d set it with a protractor, Rosamund Pike is talking about that dreaded life-work balance that we Brits are so bad at. ‘They say that when we talk about balance, we mean no balance at all,’ she says, in those deliciously sculpted tones of hers. ‘When the French talk about “équilibre”, as they call it, they actually mean they achieve it. We British mums apparently never achieve balance. We talk about life-work balance – it generally means something we’re not really succeeding at. We work too hard and life goes down the pan.’

The Hammersmith-born daughter of two opera singers, who rose to fame a decade ago in the James Bond film Die Another Day as the ice-cold Miranda Frost, is out to prove otherwise. We meet just a few months after the 33-year-old Pike gave birth to her first child, a son named Solo. In the midst of shooting Simon Pegg comedy The World’s End, she’s also dealing with the aftermath of a burglary at her mews house in West Kensington. And she’s relocating to a new place with her partner, businessman Robie Uniacke, who it turns out has just sold her TV on eBay without telling her.

Showbiz pals Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise step out on dinner date after filming scenes for All You Need Is Kill By LOUISE SAUNDERS (MAIL ON LINE)

They've been hard at work shooting scenes for their new sci-fi thriller, All You Need Is Kill, in London.
And Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise decided to toast another successful week of filming with an evening out on the town on Friday night.

The co-stars seemed to have enjoyed each other's company on set so much that they chose to grab a bite to eat together at Scott's restaurant in London's Mayfair after filming wrapped for the week.

Tom's look screamed Hollywood hunk, with the 50-year-old actor teaming a dapper charcoal grey suit with a light grey sweater and a matching shirt.

And despite it being pitch black outside, the star wore a pair of aviator-style sunglasses as he waved to photographers while leaving the restaurant.

Rosamund Pike And Guy Pearce To Star In Aussie Drama Violet Town published: 2012-11-28 08:24:03 Author: Kristy Puchko (CINEMA BLEND)

The beautiful English ingénue Rosamund Pike first drew notice Stateside in 2005's Pride and Prejudice, where she played the loving Jane Bennet opposite the Oscar-nominated Keira Knightley. Though roles followed in the Anthony Hopkins/Ryan Gosling vehicle Fracture and the Oscar-nominated biopic An Education, Pike hasn't yet blown up. Coming up she'll appear in supporting parts in Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher and Simon Pegg's Hector and the Search for Happiness, but thankfully a leading role is in her future, thanks to a forthcoming drama out of Australia.

In their first joint venture Mushroom Pictures and Morrissey Molloy Entertainment are producing an adaptation of Steven Carroll’s novel The Art Of The Engine Driver penned by Matt Cameron. The film, rechristened Violet Town, centers on a married couple attending a New Years Eve Party in 1957 Melbourne. But what should be a night of joy and frivolity turns dramatic when secrets buried within their suburban lives are unearthed. Deadline reports Pike and Guy Pearce will play the spouses with skeletons in their closet. Bryan Brown, best known as Tom Cruise's buddy in Cocktail, is also attached, though his role is unknown. Mark Joffe, who directed the charming Janeane Garofalo rom-com The MatchMaker, will helm.

Rosamund Pike on how she'll always wear her Bond girl badge with pride By BAZ BAMIGBOYE Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook

BAZ BAMIGBOYE

Rosamund Pike revealed that being a Bond girl is a ‘cool club’ to be part of — though that wasn’t always the case.

As Skyfall, the latest 007 movie, prepares to open, the actress — who played Miranda Frost opposite Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day — told me she might once have been somewhat ambivalent about being seen as just a pretty appendage.

Even an appendage associated with one of the most successful film franchises in cinema history.

Die Another Day was her first film, and the sudden, full glare of international publicity was startling to her.
Also, she had no comprehension then that she would be associated with Bond history for ever.

Ten years on, she sees it differently. ‘Now I’ve got perspective,’ she said. ‘Now it just seems like a very cool punctuation mark on the CV. It’s a cool club to be a part of.’

Rosamund has been busy adding to that CV of late. She stars with Tom Cruise in the potent new action-thriller Jack Reacher — based on the 2005 novel One Shot by Lee Child — which opens on Boxing Day.

And she recently finished a small role with her old Bond, Brosnan, in the film Long Way Down.
