Ben, who plays Bob in the Nativity films, has starred alongside Doctor Who actor David Tennant and Catherine Tate as part of the trilogy. Here, he is pictured at the premier in London's Leicester Square

A young boy who stars in the film Nativity 3 defied the odds to become an actor and dancer after doctors warned he may never walk or talk again after brain surgery.

Ben underwent a nine-hour operation because the plates in his skull had not fused correctly after birth.

The youngster, from Cannock, Staffordshire, was diagnosed with craniosynostosis when he was two years old.

Nativity 3, Dude Where’s MY Donkey, is out in cinemas on November 14. Ben (pictured in a green hood) stars alongside Martin Clunes and Mark Wooton

His terrified family were told he may not survive, but Ben, who attends the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, recovered.

He has since gone on to launch an acting career and win dance titles including European freestyle champion.

He beat 500 other hopefuls to the role of Bob in the first Nativity film - turning up for the auditions wearing fake tan, fluorescent green hot pants, matching leg warmers and a T-shirt emblazoned with the words Born To Dance.

Ben's mother, Jill Wilby, said: 'He just loves these premieres.

'He loves having his picture taken and mixing with stars on the red carpet.

Loki and Heimdall to Appear in 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' (Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba)

A Point of Geeks report

It seems that we will be in for all sorts of surprises next year when The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters. Fans can expect to see cameos of brand new characters to the Marvel cinematic universe and a few familiar faces will be returning as well.

In an interview with The Telegraph, actor Idris Elba (Thor: The Dark World, The Wire) casually discussed his involvement in the Thor movies and he let it slip that he has recently shot a scene for Age of Ultron:

“Ironically, yesterday I had to…” Elba chuckles. He’s not meant to talk about this, but he clearly enjoys doing things he’s not meant to do. “I’m in Avengers,” he reveals. He means that his Thor character, deity-cum-sentry Heimdall, appears in Age of Ultron, the second installment of the superhero ensemble franchise. “And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?"

Whoa! Somebody in Marvel Studios is banging their fist down on their desk in anger right now. Tom Hiddleston's Loki has become one of the most popular characters in the Marvel cinematic universe (MCU) and by far the most well-rounded villain. If Marvel wanted this news to be public, they would have certainly made mention of it at last week's huge event where they announced their future projects. Add to the fact that Elba called working on Marvel movies "torture" during the course of the interview and suddenly Heimdall's future in Thor: Ragnarok seems to be sealed.

Benedict Cumberbatch Talks Sex & Sherlock

ELLEUK.COM
BY ANNABEL BROG
POSTED 29 WED OCTOBER

You may have heard that we photographed and interviewed Mr Cumberbatch for an ELLE cover recently. Not that we've mentioned it much, but word does spread... (you can read the full story here)

During the course of  the day, we fell to talking about sex. Specifically, Sherlock and sex. We find it intriguing that most right-thinking females (and males, for that matter) are very attracted to Cumberbatch's Sherlock Holmes, despite the fact that the character in the BBC adaptation is a virgin, a sociopath and, we think, likely to be a lousy lay if ever he were to relinquish said virginity.

Mr Cumberbatch disagrees. Strenuously. 'He knows bodies very well,' insists Benedict.  Then he proved it to us.

ELLE UK: A lot of women fancy Sherlock.

BC: Their problem, not mine.

ELLE UK: I do get it, he’s incredibly endearing, but…

BC: Will this tell me more about you than the answer will tell you about me?

ELLE UK: …I actually think he would be a terrible shag.

BC: Really? That’s terrible!

ELLE UK: I think he would be proficient, of course, but he would lack enthusiasm and he would find it distasteful.

BC: Ah, these are terrible stereotypes. And come on, he seduced Janine.

ELLE UK: But they didn’t have sex?

BC: Oh you’re right, very good, you spotted that.

ELLE UK: What do you think Sherlock would be like in bed? How would you play a love scene as Sherlock?

BC: Oooh… You know I’d get the, I’d probably test the latex, if it involved prophylactics, beforehand.

BC: I’d do a little experiment to do with durability, length, girth, and um, strength. And um, I would probably take a lot of vitamin supplements to make sure that I could perform, and had had my sleep, and probably not had many cigarettes. Or drink, for that matter. Not that he does drink.

ELLE UK: You see. Proficient, but lacking enthusiasm.

BC: Yeah, no wait for it. I would probably watch a lot of porn...

BC: But when I did it would be explosive.
