Actress Judi Dench said she wishes she'd known at 18 to live every day as if it's your last.
The 76-year-old star was married to the actor Michael Williams before his death in 2001 and said it was her husband who taught her that lesson - and she didn't meet him until she was 36.
She told UK newspaper The Sun: "I wish I knew at 18 how important it is to live each day as if it is your last.
"My husband used to tell me that and I have shared that view from the day we married, when we were in our mid-thirties. I had a long time alone before marriage. I was a crazy girl - in love all the time."
She added: "I never thought I would wait until 36 to get married. I had been introduced to Michael nine years before in a bar after a play he was in at the Duchess Theatre."
