British Oscar winning actor Colin Firth has confirmed plans for “Bridget Jones 3” are well under way, revealing that he has even had a sneak peek at the movie’s script.
Other sources are claiming that the full cast is likely to return.
The original “Bridget Jones’s Diary” was released ten years ago and grossed over $254 million at the worldwide box office. The film was Malta’s No.1 film for two consecutive weeks when released in late April 2001.
The sequel “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason” was released three years later and almost scored the same success. The sequel was released in Malta in November 2004 and stayed one week at the top of the local box office.
In the meantime, fans of Colin Firth are eagerly waiting for his next outing in the spy thriller “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” which will be released this week in local theatres. The film is based on John le Carré’s 1974 excellent novel.
