Superman heading to Alaska (in B.C.)
According to the Vancouver Sun, the Vancouver Island resort town of Ucluelet will be doing its best impression of an Alaska fishing village near the end of September, during filming of the new Superman blockbuster, Man of Steel. The movie stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, plus Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner and Laurence Fishburne. The Canadian Press (via CTV) reports casting calls in and around Ucluelet have been put out for people with "character faces" and for "commercial fishermen types." And the "Morning Spoilers" blog at iO9 has a few guesses about why the story could be taking Superman to Fauxlaska.
