Downtown Chicago is preparing to get beaten up again for another superhero movie. Filming of the new Superman reboot, called Man of Steel left Plano Tuesday and is headed to the Loop.
For you, it'll likely mean fewer parking spots.
Filming runs Sept. 7 through Sept. 17.
There were some big production semi-trucks sitting around the area of Jackson and Franklin and Jackson and Wells overnight as well as plenty of parking restrictions.
Superman: Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill as Superman, along with Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Russell Crowe, who has been spotted many times around the western suburbs during filming.
