What a week, on-set photos, movie stills and featurettes seem to have been appearing left, right and center. Some brilliant stuff in this weeks ‘Brits Seen’ featuring great stars in some very cool looking movies. We have Kenneth Branagh, James McAvoy, Luke Evans, Henry Cavill (twice), Lily Collins, Ben Kingsley, Jude Law, Asa Butterfield, Stephen Moyer plus the cast of Games of Thrones, a couple more thrown in for good measure!

My Week With Marilyn follows Colin Clark, an employee of Sir Laurence Olivier’s, as he documents the tense interaction between Olivier and Marilyn Monroe, over the course of a week, during production of The Prince and The Showgirl. Michelle Williams stars as the American icon, with Kenneth Branagh as Olivier and Eddie Redmayne as Clark. We got to see the beautiful looking first trailer just last week and now some new images have arrived featuring all the main stars. My Week With Marilyn arrives on November 4 (Source: Moviefone)

British director Danny Boyle teams up with James McAvoy for his next movie, the thriller Trance. Revolving around an auction house assistant who executes a heist with a group of professional thieves, the film is a remake of the 2003 Joe Ahearne film of the same name. McAvoy was snapped with a wounded head for a scene shot in London. Trance is scheduled for release in 2013 (Source: Collinder)

Welsh actor Luke Evans (The Three Musketeers) seems to be everywhere at the moment! Probably because he is in 15 movies out between 2010 & 2012. One of these is The Raven in which he plays Detective Emmett Fields in a fictionalized story about the last days of Edgar Allan Poe’s (John Cusack) life, in which the poet pursues a serial killer whose murders mirror those in the writer’s stories. Take a look at the first image and trailer featuring Evans below. The Raven is out on March 9, 2012. (Source: Bloody Disgusting)'

I thought Henry Cavill always looked good! The Tudors actor was recently photographed on set in Vancouver while filming Zack Synder’s Superman: Man of Steel. The reason for the mustache, beard, stained jumper and lack of shoes? Well speculation has it that this could be the portion of the film set in Alaska when he visits his fortress of Solitude, or it could just be that he has taken a couple of days of from saving the world! Talking of Henry Cavill, he has another movie out on November 11 called Immortals and the latest images show him back to his usual self. In this fantasy-action film Cavill plays Theseus a mortal man who is picked by the god Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion. We also found a behind the scenes featurtte that I have included below. (Source: FilmoFilia)

Snow White has a dress for every occasion apparently! The Tarsem Singh directed Snow White project that is yet to be titled features the beautiful Lily Collins (The Blind Side) in one of two adaptions of the classic fairytale coming out in 2012 (the other, Snow White & The Huntsman stars Kirsten Stewart). Scheduled for March 16 next year some of the first images of Collins have been released and she literally has a different outfit in each! (Source: Yahoo Movies)

I did not realise how jam-packed with Brits Martin Scorseses latest movie, Hugo was until I saw some of the latest images. It stars Asa Butterfield (Nanny McPhee Returns and TV’s Merlin) as the orphan, Hugo Caberat, who in 1930s Paris, gets wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton. The latest images feature Sir Ben Kingsley and Jude Law in a film that also stars Emily Mortimer, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ray Winstone and Christopher Lee. Hugo is out on November 23 and I have also included the trailer to go with the images. (Source: The Playlist)

I am guessing that British Actor Stephen Moyer of True Blood fame will be using his best American accent once again when he stars in the horror movie Barrens. Set in New Jersey he plays Richard Vineyard who when he takes his family on a camping trip becomes convinced they are being stalked by the legendary monster of the Pine Barrens: the Jersey Devil! You can expect to see this one some time in 2012 – (Source: Bloody Disgusting)

I have not examined these photos that closely but I am certain that there must be a Brit or two in the latest on set shots captured for the second season of Game Of Thrones! Especially when you consider 22 British actors have joined the already Brit-packed original cast (23 actually, Downton Abbey actress Rose Leslie joined today but I still need to update our list). Game of Thrones is back on HBO in April next year. (Source: Digital Spy)
