A suited and booted Daniel Craig cuts a mysterious figure as James Bond as filming of Skyfall continues in London

Earlier this month, just after the name and cast were revealed, James Bond fans were given their first glimpse of some scenes as filming got underway on the new adventure.

And today, they were in for another treat when more scenes were released as filming moved to Trafalgar Square.

The star, Daniel Craig, who plays the secret agent, was snapped outside The National Gallery in a long dark coat and suit and tie.

Looking mysterious and deep in thought, the actor was surrounded by extras as he milled around the entrance before heading down the stairs.

Craig, 43, was seen just over two weeks ago when shooting on the film, which is called Skyfall, began in Whitehall.
The actor seen filming inside a specially modified Range Rover with cameras attached at the steering wheel to capture the action, and also pictured outside the car wearing beige trousers and a fitted jacket.

Craig reprises his role as 007 in the new film, which is directed by Sam Mendes and is due for release next October.

Speaking at a press conference to unveil the film and its cast in London this month, Craig said: 'It, I think, has all the elements of a classic Bond movie, including, to quell any rumours, a lot of action.

Producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said the film's title title has some emotional context in relation to the story which would be evident when audiences see the film.

Javier Bardem was confirmed as the villain and Dame Judi Dench declared she would be 'getting a grip' as M for the seventh time.

British star Naomie Harris was unveiled as another one of 007's leading ladies called Eve, believed to be the new Miss Moneypenny, alongside French actress Bérénice Marlohe who is playing an enigmatic beauty by the name of Sabrine.

Three other key cast members Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw, had other commitments and did not attend the press conference in Whitehall and it is unclear who they will play in the film.

Mended remained tight-lipped about their roles and said Whishaw 'will be playing a part I can’t tell you about … and Albert Finney, who will also be playing a part I can tell you nothing about in scenes that I can’t really tell you about

'And Ralph Fiennes, who, similarly, I can give you very little information about.'

Meanwhile, in other Bond news, it was reported this weekend that Noel Gallagher could be writing and recording the theme tune for the new movie.

According to the Sun, the former Oasis star has lined up some meeting with movie bosses about getting his music involved in the film.
