We asked you, our 12 million monthly readers, for your views on just about everything worth getting excited about in entertainment over the past year. And boy, did you let us know what you thought.

Hundreds of thousands of votes came in - and if one thing was clear it was that you have a diverse set of tastes. With a some exceptions (Apple, Angry Birds and Adele) there were few runaway winners, but rather lots of big contenders in each category and some extremely close calls.

Our tireless elves have counted up your votes and now we can present the results to the Digital Spy 2011 end of year reader poll in full.
