TV Picks: 'Downton Abbey' marathon (Seattle Times)

TV picks for Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, include a "Downton Abbey" marathon, plus a futuristic holiday episode of "The Simpsons."

Tonight in Prime Time

'Downton Abbey'
Are you tired of all the holiday TV movies and specials? How about some foreign intrigue, a scandalous relationship (or two) and questions of virtue? It's all here (and so much more) in this Emmy-winning, luscious British series — set in 1912 — about the Crawley family and the staff at their titular estate. And did I mention Maggie Smith? The second series begins on Jan. 8, but you can watch a marathon of all four episodes of the first series beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday on KCTS (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
