British movie star Colin Firth was awarded the title of the
Commander of the Order of the British Empire by the Prince of Wales on Thursday.
He received the award for playing Prince Charles’ grandfather King George VI in
The King’s Speech. The film tells a story of the monarch who is battling to
overcome stuttering with the help of an Australian speech therapist.
Firth had been awarded a Golden Globe for this part.
