It was a rather unusual case of mistaken identity when a strapping fella in blonde wig, stilletto heels and a slick of pink lipstick was spotted in town being followed by a BBC film crew.

For while film and TV star Sean Bean is currently in Manchester portraying a transvestite in the new series of acclaimed BBC drama Accused (pictured on the left), the gentleman we spied (on the right) was in fact an actor double on the set of the show.
