 Lovebirds will be given the chance to re-enact the famous Pride and Prejudice lake scene this Valentine's Day. The idyllic location where Colin Firth’s Mr Darcy emerged from the lake has been made available for romantics to propose to their own Elizabeth Bennett. The site, in Lyme Park, near Chester, is one of a number of venues opened by garden bosses as part of Cheshire’s Gardens of Distinction’s "Fall In Love" campaign. Other venues include the Cloisters garden at Chester Cathedral, which has been a wedding venue for over 1,000 years and Norton Priory’s Walled Garden, the setting for many romantic Shakespearian plays.
