TV's Downton Abbey to host 10km run
The castle which doubles up as Downton Abbey in the award-winning TV series of the same name is to host a fundraising event which will be attempted by a family from Hertfordshire.
Runners will be able to race around the grounds of Highclere Castle, in Newbury, Berkshire, which have been made famous by the ITV series, in aid of Parkinson's UK.
The charity works to support the 127,000 people in the UK who are living with Parkinson's while also researching the disease with the hope of finding a cure.
Clare Rogers, 41, from Shepreth, Hertfordshire will be running the 10k with her husband Mike, 43, her four sisters and brother in memory of her father, Tim Savin, who had Parkinson's. Tim passed away last year at the age of 81.
Clare said: "My family and I wanted to get involved with Run Highclere to raise funds to help find a cure for Parkinson's. Some of us are novices, and others are most established runners. We are all running in memory of Dad."
Tim's 22 grandchildren will all be at Run Highclere to cheer on their parents.
