Can anyone really ever get tired of Jack the Ripper-inspired movies and TV shows? We here at Criminal Element say “Nay!”. Which is exactly why we are all kind of excited about the BBC show, Ripper Street, coming soon to BBC America. The show is a historical drama set in the Whitechapel area of London around the turn of the century. We can all guess what happens to start the mystery ball rolling.
It stars Jerome Flynn of Game of Thrones/Bronn fame, who has already proved his noir chops as a part of HBO’s popular epic. It also stars favorite MI-5 spy and famous Darcy impersonator, Matthew Macfadyen.
