Her husband might be an international heartthrob, but the wife of Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville has her own way of coping with swooning female fans.
‘I don’t take any notice,’ says lofty Lulu Williams at the Maggie’s Cancer Centres autumn party at the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge.
‘I don’t notice women fawning over him — although I know everybody talks about it.’

Lulu accompanied Hugh, 48, to the bash where her bearded husband was unrecognisable from the clean-shaven Earl of Grantham. ‘Don’t forget we met as teenagers and have a lot of history,’ she says. ‘We’re not fazed by the glitz of the showbusiness world.
‘We are just home-loving people and don’t make a habit of hanging out at celebrity parties.
Adds Lulu, who lives with Hugh and their son, Felix, ten: ‘I don’t really have a job but my hobby is hanging out at car boot sales, buying trinkets and doing them up and reselling them!’
