Lady Mary and the Crawleys aren’t the only ones affected by cousin Matthew’s death. Our hapless yet lovelable servant Mr. Molesley has fallen on hard times due to Mr. Crawley’s demise. Molesley was Matthew’s valet. Now that he is gone, Moseley has no employer.
In this preview clip from Episode 2 of Season four, we see just how bad things have gotten. The once dignified valet has resorted to digging ditches to stay afloat.
