HIS new film contains the kind of material that would make any man blush in front of his parents.
But the excitement of Domhnall Gleeson's first starring role was too big an event not to take mum along to.

The 28-year-old stepped on to the red carpet with mother Mary Gleeson last night for the opening of his new film 'Sensation' at the Irish Film Institute in Dublin.

In the deadpan comedy, the actor plays a lonely young farmer who dives headlong in to a world of illicit sex, and opens a brothel on a farm he inherits from his father.

What the rising star's real-life father and actor Brendan Gleeson made of the film isn't known.
But mum appeared to be proud of her son, whose career is on the up.

Gleeson is soon to appear alongside Keira Knightly and Jude Law in a film version of the classic Tolstoy novel 'Anna Karenina'.
