UNASSUMING and down to earth its hard to believe that Kelly Macdonald is one of the most wanted actresses of the moment.
Talking to Express.co.uk, the 36-year-old star took some time out from filming the latest episodes of Boardwalk Empire, the upcoming PIxar animation Brave and starring alongside Keira Knightley in Anna Karenina, to chat about her latest movie The Decoy Bride.
Set in her native Scotland, the actress stars alongside David Tennant as a local girl Katie, who is nursing a broken heart and is recruited to pretend to be a bride to protect a film star from the paparazzi. On returning to her homeland, Kelly said: "It was amazing I was so pleased to be back home.
The first two weeks were spent filming on the Isle of Man which was very nice - I’ve never been there before but we laster moved to Scotland. "I got a chance to see family. It felt weird at the end of the film everybody else left Glasgow and I stayed to see family. It was nice."
