BRAVE youngster Megan Finn has battled back from a kidney tumour to film a movie in Sweden with Hollywood star James McAvoy.

Howwood girl Megan, eight, will appear in the film adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s Filth as the daughter of main character Bruce Robertson, played by McAvoy.

She filmed scenes in Sweden last March after auditioning for the part at Film City Glasgow, in Govan.

Her mum Lesley, 37, said: “Megan is with an agency and has already been in photos for a brochure for Stirling Castle and in a TV ad for a toy called Princess Fizz.

“In January last year, she auditioned with hundreds of kids from up and down Scotland for Filth.

“She auditioned twice and had to sing a song and be kind of full of expressions. That was it – they just liked her and she got the part.

“When she filmed in Sweden James McAvoy was there and she did a scene on set with him. We stayed in the same hotel ... and he was lovely.”
