Fix up, look sharp: Martin Clunes looked dapper on the set of Arthur & George on Wednesday

He's best known for portraying Gary Strang in Men Behaving Badly.

But appearing to be on his best behaviour, Martin Clunes cut a dapper figure as he shot scenes for the upcoming drama Arthur & George on Wednesday.

Making an appearance at Hughenden Manor in High Wycombe, the 52-year-old actor went back to the 19th century as he got into character as British novelist and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Set in 1903, the television series, which is an adaption of Julian Barnes’ novel Arthur & George, will document true events that took place in the life of Sherlock Holmes author Arthur Conan Doyle.

Directed by Stuart Orme, whose work includes Goodbye, Mr. Chips, the drama was written by Ed Whitmore.

Arsher Ali, Art Malik, Emma Fielding, Charles Edwards, Hattie Morahan and Sandra Voe also feature in the three part series.
