ATV Today Poll - Should ITV order a third season of DOWNTON ABBEY?

ATV Today

This week's poll is whether or not ITV should order a third season of the Julian Fellowes penned drama Downton Abbey.

The second series of the drama starring Hugh Bonneville and Maggie Smith is currently airing on ITV with two more episodes to go. While ratings have remained strong for Downton Abbey - despite what the tabloids might try and spin - there's no denying the critical reaction to the series has been mixed. There have been criticisms over the number and length of ad-breaks - which isn't really to do with the drama itself - and also criticism over the way the second series has rushed through the First
World War. Historical events Maggie Smithsuch as
the Easter Rising in Ireland and the Russian Revolution received little more attention than throwaway lines.

Given Downton Abbey's continued strong performance in terms of ratings it would be a surprise if ITV didn't order a third series - after all few other dramas deliver such big ratings. But as yet the broadcaster has yet to officially confirm another season.

So should ITV order a third season of Downton Abbey? Voting is simple; the poll is in the top left hand  of the ATV site -  click here to enter the site.
