'Downton Abbey' is to get a 'The Only Way Is Essex' makeover for Children In Need.
Dreamt up by BBC bosses for the charity telethon - which takes place on November 18 - the one-off show will see the actors from the ITV1 period drama and the stars of the ITV2 reality show pair up for a hilarious comedy skit.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "It's going to be one of the biggest highlights of the night. Anyone who watches 'Downton Abbey' will know what a laugh it will be to see the stars get an Essex makeover."

The sketch could see the 'Downton' cast learning the Essex slang made famous by the likes of Harry Derbridge, Joey Essex and Sam Faiers and heading out for a drunken evening at the Sugar Hut nightclub.

It is thought the snooty Dowager Countess of Grantham - played by Dame Maggie Smith - could even be in for a vajazzle, the decorating of a woman's intimate parts made famous by former 'TOWIE' star Amy Childs.

Children In Need will take place on Friday November 18.
