CAROLINA BEACH - Crews will return to Carolina Beach this Friday October 28, from 3PM to 5AM to film a movie titled, " Arthur Newman, Golf Pro".

This time they'll be filming at Cole's Motel at 213 Raleigh Avenue behind the BB&T Bank on Lake Park Blvd.

Raleigh Avenue between Lake Park Blvd. and 3rd Street will be closed during filming. Customers will still be able to access adjacent businesses. The movie will star Academy Award winner Colin Firth (The King's Speech) and Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt.

Filming will be based out of EUE/Screen Gems Studios and shoot at various locations in the area this fall.

The film focuses on Wallace Avery (played by Firth).

He hated his job, became estranged from his ex-wife and son and blew his one shot at living his dream. Then he staged his own death buying a new identity as Arthur Newman - a golf pro. In his new life, he meets Mike (played by Blunt). They start breaking into homes and assuming the identities of the absent owners.

Crews filmed a couple of weeks ago at Fort Fisher on the southern end of the Island and in Carolina Beach at night in the area of Lake Park Blvd. and Fayetteville Ave. In front of Squigley's Ice Cream and the Dry Dock Motel. The scene was after a car chase where Emily Blunt's character is pulled from the vehicle by police while the owner yells at her for stealing his car.

This Friday they're filming a scene where the couple takes refuge in a hotel.
