Burlington, N.C. — Actor Colin Firth will shoot part of his new movie, "Arthur Newman, Golf Pro," in Alamance County later this month.

The Times-News of Burlington reported (http://bit.ly/uf1ikF) Firth and his co-star, Emily Blunt, will also be shooting parts of the film in the Wilmington and Raleigh-Durham areas.

The film is about a man who hates his job and is hated by his ex-wife and stages his death and forms a new identity. He meets a woman also fleeing her past.

Rebecca Clark with the Piedmont Triad Film Commission says she's happy the filming is occurring in the area. She says anywhere the crew films, it will be spending money and thus help the economy.
