Tomas Alfredson's reworking of John Le Carre's Cold War espionage thriller (and of the much-loved BBC version starring Alec Guinness) is as methodical and difficult to read as George Smiley himself, but it's definitely worth the effort.
Also featuring a stellar British cast that includes Colin Firth, Toby Jones, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Benedict Cumberbatch, John Hurt and Ciaran Hinds.
