Downton Abbey: Last night's 'Downton Abbey': Saddest episode ever (USA Today)

Things are looking rough at Downton.
Last night's episode of the period drama offered little in the way of good news, focusing instead on beaten-down bodies and broken hearts.
I've been having a bad feeling about William all season, and this week my fears were realized when he and Matthew were seriously injured in the war. If the docs are right, poor Matthew will never walk (or have sex!) again, and Lavinia will vanish as quickly as she came. (I never cared much for her, anyway.
As for William, his prognosis was even more dire, prompting him to propose to Daisy immediately. Though the bride was less than enthused, it was still nice to see all of the Downton residents brought together the nuptials.
