I identify with the Lomax story. I was distressed to hear that the writers had to enhance the love story. But, from the pictures, I think that they did just fine and stayed true to the story. I am following the production with great interest.
I think they are using it more as the catalyst for his seeking peace with his past life. She spurs him on to talk to the Japanese captor. I don't know if that was true in real life.
