Jude Law Will Be Dom Hemingway With Richard E Grant in a revenge comedy 16 May 2012 | Written by James White | Source: The Hollywood Reporter (EMPIRE)
Jude Law will be brushing up on his safecracking skills soon. No, we’re not trying to insinuate that he’s turning to a life of crime – he’s going to be playing a personable thief in Dom Hemingway, the latest film from The Matador’s Richard Shepard.
Announced as part of the latest wave of movies looking to drum up either financing or buzz at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Dom Hemingway will follow the titular character, a man describe as “a larger than life safecracker with a loose fuse who is also funny, profane and dangerous.”
The plot finds him freshly released from prison, and looking to collect on what he’s owed thanks to him keeping schtum about what he knew on his last job. Richard E Grant is also among the cast, though we don’t yet know what his role will be.
