Benedict Cumberbatch: Is an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie the Best Birthday Present Ever?
Well, how's that for a considerate gift? Mr Cumberbatch has been nominated for an Emmy for his performance as Sherlock Holmes in the series two opening episode, 'A Scandal in Belgravia'.
EDIT: A statement from Mr Cumberbatch says: “I am absolutely thrilled and could not have wished for a better birthday present especially because I am so delighted to see how well we have done across the board, particularly Paul McGuigan getting a nod for his extraordinary vision,”
