Downton Abbey returned for its third series at the weekend with bumper ratings, a feisty new screen duo of Dame Maggie Smith and Shirley MacLaine, and Mary and Matthew finally tied the knot in suitably grand, complicated and dramatic circumstances.
The camp, costumes and Maggie Smith one-liners continue on Sunday night on ITV1 and we can expect many more ups and downs for the Downton clan. Watch the trailer for episode two below:
