Somebody is getting naked, or maybe only partly naked, in the extended edition of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. So far, this extra portion of body parts is the only thing we know the new material will contain.
At the same time, we know no real details about this nudity. Our only clue is the new MPAA rating annotation for the film. The short version was originally stamped with:
Rated PG-13 for intense fantasy action violence and frightening images.
While the longer edit now comes with this classification:
Rated PG-13 for extended sequences of intense fantasy action violence, frightening images and fleeting nudity
Yes, the extended cut even has the word ‘extended’ added into its MPAA description. How drôle.
