‘Dracula’, directed by National Film School graduate Gary Shore and starring Luke Evans, is currently filming in Northern Ireland - taking in locations including Roe Valley Country Club in Limavady, Derry.
This latest Universal Pictures take on the iconic vampire promises to retell Dracula’s origins, explaining how Vlad, Prince of Transylviana, became a vampire to save his wife and child from an invading Turkish army.
Luke Evans is known for playing the villain in ‘Fast and the Furious Six’ and will appear as Bard the Bowman in ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ out this December.
Northern Ireland Screen - funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund - has reportedly contributed £1.65m towards the film, in the hope of a £15m return being spent on goods and services in Northern Ireland for the shoot.
