Kate Winslet Is Expecting Her Third Baby!!! (PEREZ HILTON)

We are officially on baby bump watch, people!

Kate Winslet has confirmed that she is expecting her first baby with husband Ned Rocknroll!

The actress already has 12-year-old Mia and 9-year-old Joe, and since they have regular names, we’re guessing this new addition will too.

Then again, her husband’s name is Rocknroll, so you have to try and play on that, right? RIGHT?!

Kate Winslet, Theo James, Ray Stevenson: New “Dauntless” Initiation Pic Of Shailene Woodley’s Tris Prior In ‘Divergent’

DIVERGENT New Dauntless Initiation Pic Of Shailene Woodleys Tris Prior In ‘Divergent’

EW has debuted this new still from the feature adaptation of ‘Divergent.’ Alongside Shailene Woodley, ‘Divergent’ stars Theo James, Kate Winslet, Maggie Q, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Ben Lamb, Christian Madsen, Ray Stevenson, Mekhi Phifer, and Amy Newbold.

The above image shows Shailene Woodley’s Tris Prior out on a ledge and perched to jump as part of initiation into her faction. For those of who haven’t read the books, in the dystopian world of ‘Divergent,’ all of society is divided into five factions: Abnegation (selfless); Erudite (intelligent); Candor (honest); Amity (peaceful) and Dauntless (brave). Our sixteen-year-old heroine has chosen the Dauntless faction, which involves a lot of very scary initiation tests.

“In this photo she’s already jumped off the train and onto a seven story building as part of the initiation rite for the Dauntless,” explains director Neil Burger (Limitless, The Illusionist). “The next thing they have to do is jump from the building and down through a courtyard that has a deep, black hole. It’s terrifying.”

And filming this scene sounds almost as frightening. “We’d been nervously planning it because it is dangerous and there’s a lot of people on that roof,” says Neil Burger. “We had to pull it off safely and also pull it off cinematically, so you have this knot in your stomach as you watch this young woman decide to do this crazy thing. We had great weather that day and I think this scene really is emblematic of the movie: It shows the energy and the rawness of the way we’re telling the story,” he says.

The cast of actors all have to do all sorts of stomach-lurching things, such as jumping off of elevated trains and scaling great heights. Their director says they’re a group ready for any challenge, especially his leading lady. “Shailene says she’s not afraid of heights but that she’s afraid of falling,” says the director, with a laugh. “This makes perfect sense to me. But she really did stand on that ledge—this is a real photo. She’s incredibly game and so adventurous. In a way, she’s very Dauntless.”

‘Divergent’ is described as a thrilling adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities, Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.

Kate Winslet becomes Mrs RocknRoll: if it’s down to practice, this will be perfect We can but hope that the 'unusual’ Ned Abel Smith brings the British Hollywood star lasting happiness (TELEGRAPH)

By William Langley7:00AM GMT 30 Dec 2012

It can be only the real thing for the new Mr and Mrs RocknRoll, even if everything else in their lives might appear a touch make-believe. They are old hands at the marriage game, these glamorous thirtysomethings, and you have to hope that this time they know what they’re doing.

Mr RocknRoll, who used to be a popular London party boy called Ned Abel Smith, took Kate Winslet to be his wife at a small, unannounced ceremony shortly before Christmas. The groom, who apparently made up his new name because he didn’t think the old one was enough fun, works for Virgin Galactic as “Head of Marketing Promotion and Astronaut Experience”, a job title he also made up.

According to his former wife, Eliza Pearson, the heiress daughter of Viscount Cowdray, he nevertheless takes the job seriously: “He would say to me, 'There is no destination. The destination is now, now, now,’ ” recalls Eliza. “'The journey is the destination. We’re not trying to get somewhere.’”

Kate Winslet, a different type of aristocrat with her movie career, cheerfully borne bodily imperfections and salty vocab, should be quite a catch. Her two previous husbands clearly thought so, although the complications of marriage have a way of catching her by surprise.

First came little-known London producer Jim Threapleton, whom she met on the set of a film called Hideous Kinky and married in 1998. In early 2001, Kate was on the cover of Glamour magazine, telling the readers why: “My husband is one in a million.” Unfortunately, by the time the edition hit the streets, Mr Threapleton, with whom she has a daughter, Mia, now 12, had been dumped.

Guy Pearce: Hardy is a mountain (BELFAST TELEGRAPH)

Guy Pearce has described Tom Hardy as an "emotional mountain".

The actor is starring alongside Tom in the new movie Lawless and was full of praise for the British hunk.

Guy admitted it was difficult not to feel intimidated by Tom.

"It's so brilliant that Tom Hardy is playing the role, because he is the most exciting actor I've seen in a long time... And he brings a weight, an integrity and a power to the screen that is incredibly compelling?," he told website Flicks and Bits. "The first scene that we had together was me feeling like I'm running rings around this man, not being intimidated by him. And that was very difficult, because he's like a mountain, a mount emotionally and physically. I think that will translate on screen."

Kate Winslet finally making fans’ ‘Day’ By Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa with Megan Johnson Wednesday, June 20, 2012 - Updated 2 hours ago (INSIDE TRACK)

Kate Winslet, in Mansfield yesterday to film scenes for her new flick “Labor Day,” redeemed herself in the eyes of a few Mass. fans, after complaints that the “Titanic” actress is snubbing her adoring public.

“There was a guy there holding up a sign that said, ‘Kate, please sign my poster,’ ” said Someone Who Was There. “Her driver came over, got the poster, brought it to Kate and she signed it, then he called the guy over and he was able to thank her.”

Winslet’s largesse came after reports that she had snubbed fans in Shelburne Falls and on a Virgin Atlantic flight to Boston.

Kate Winslet, Kenneth Branagh get royal honors June 15, 2012 -- 2:24 PM (EXAMINER)

LONDON (AP) — Kate Winslet has been honored by Queen Elizabeth II for her titanic contribution to the arts.

The actress, who won a best actress Academy Award in 2009 for "The Reader" and made her breakthrough as the feisty Rose in 1997 blockbuster "Titanic," has been named a Commander of the Order of the British Empire, or CBE, in the queen's Birthday Honors List, published Saturday.

Winslet said the honor made her "very proud to be a Brit."

"I am both surprised and honored to stand alongside so many men and woman who have achieved great things for our country," the 36-year-old star said.

Actor and director Kenneth Branagh was made a knight and will be known as Sir Kenneth. A respected Shakespearean actor whose films as a director range from "Henry V" and "Hamlet" to the comic-book fantasy "Thor," Branagh said he felt "humble, elated, and incredibly lucky" to get the honor. It puts him in a pantheon of theatrical knights alongside the late Sir Laurence Olivier, whom Branagh played in "My Life With Marilyn."

"When I was a kid, I dreamed of pulling on a shirt for the Northern Ireland football team," said the Belfast-born, 51-year-old actor. "I could only imagine how proud you might feel. Today it feels like they just gave me the shirt, and my heart's fit to burst."

Kate Winslet: "I Am Sincerely Grateful for My Buttocks" The actress talks about maintaining a healthy body image and says that "normality is not what we're exposed to" TERRI SCHWARTZ ON MAY 30, 2012 AT 1:32PM (I VILLAGE)

Kate Winslet has always been an avid supporter of maintaining a healthy body image -- even though she's gorgeous she's never succumbed to the media-created mandated to be a size 2 -- but now she's reached a point where she's upset that the debate about what a "normal" body is still exists.

"Better say that I'm bored of what it means that we are still here talking about it: It means that nothing has changed," the 36-year-old mother of two tells Vanity Fair Italia, when asked if she's tired of talking about the skewed perception of women's bodies instilled by the media.

"Otherwise, no, I believe it is important to go on insisting that normality is not what we are exposed to. Honestly, among my acquaintances there is no woman wearing XS. No, sorry, there is one: my daughter. The point is that Mia is 11 years old." Here, here!

Kate Winslet, Kenneth Branagh: Kate's floating Leo and Ken's boat... as she reunites with two of her most dashing leading men (Mail On Line)

By Baz Bamigboye
Last updated at 7:50 AM on 13th January 2012

Kate Winslet is reuniting with two of her most dashing leading men — Leonardo DiCaprio and Kenneth Branagh.

The Oscar-winning actress will work with DiCaprio this spring, promoting the spectacular 3D version of James Cameron’s Titantic, which was first released 15 years ago. Then she will work on a new movie with Branagh.

She played Ophelia on Branagh’s screen version of Hamlet back in 1996. The two have remained friends, and now Branagh has recruited her to star in a film based on Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Burrows’s best-selling novel The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society, which will start filming in mid-March.

Kate will play writer Juliet Ashton, who penned columns for a magazine during World War II. After the war, she is contacted by Channel Islander Dawsey Adams and, as their correspondence continues, the story unfolds of how a book society was established on Nazi-occupied Guernsey to fool curfew patrols.

Branagh has been involved in the film’s pre-production in between enjoying awards season heat thanks to his portrait of Laurence Olivier in Simon Curtis’s movie My Week With Marilyn.

The film’s up for three Golden Globe statuettes this Sunday for best film (comedy or musical); best actress (in a comedy or musical) for Michelle Williams; and best supporting actor for Branagh (who’s also in the running for Bafta and Oscar nominations).

Kate could also taste Golden Globe glory. She flies out to Los Angeles later today to prepare for Sunday’s ceremony, where she’s up for the best actress honour for the film Carnage and best actress in a mini-series for HBO’s Mildred Pierce.

Kate saw Titantic 3D footage on Wednesday afternoon and she’s likely to attend the movie’s London premiere in late March.

Titanic producer Jon Landau showed DiCaprio footage late last year and, by all accounts, the actor was knocked out, all over again, by his leading lady. ‘He watched the scene where Kate arrives at the dock and steps out the car and he said to me: “She’s so beautiful,” ’ Landau told me.

He added: ‘Leo’s right, but screen beauty goes beyond the physicality. It’s what the actor brings to the character, and she embodies the character of Rose.’

Landau also revealed that when Kate originally auditioned for the role, she sent director Cameron a note along with a single rose. ‘She signed it “Rose Winslet”,’ he said. She got the part.

Titantic 3D will have one-off showings at 60 screens around the country on Valentine’s Day evening. It’s main release will be on April 6.

It will make a fortune at the box office all over again. The stars could reap a percentage of that bounty under the terms of their original contracts

I have to move to Chiswick - Another famous couple beside the Firths live there (Chiswick W4)

Chiswick Couple Up for Two Golden Globes
Downton Abbey and film on Marilyn Monroe
might bring double glory to W4

Chiswick husband and wife team
 Elizabeth McGovern and Simon
Curtis are  hoping to bring at least
one, if not two Golden Globes
home from Hollywood for their
W4 mantelpiece
 this weekend (January 14th).

Elizabeth, who plays Lady Cora in the popular ITV drama
series  ‘Downton Abbey’ is nominated for a Best
Actress award for the television series while her
husband Simon Curtis who directed ‘My Week with
Marilyn’ is hoping the film will win
 the award for Best Picture.

The glittering ceremony will be held at the Beverly Hilton
Hotel, with Ricky Gervais hosting for the third time.

Downton Abbey leads the way in the television categories
at the Hollywood awards, with four nominations: best
mini-series, best actor for Hugh Bonneville, best
actress for Elizabeth McGovern and best supporting
actress for Dame Maggie Smith. The series became
the most-watched television programme on Christmas
Day in the UK, beating Eastenders.

The couple live in Chiswick with their two daughters.

The film leading the nominations is The Artist, which
has so charmed the critics that it is being talked of as
a serious Oscar contender despite being silent and in
 black-and-white.

The other nominations in the Best Picture category
are Bridesmaids, 50/50 and Midnight in Paris.

Downton Abbey faces opposition from Against the
Hour, Mildred Pierce, Too Big to Fail and Cinema Verite.

Meryl Streep is nominated for Best Actress for her
performance in The Iron Lady.

In her category of Best Performance as an Actress
in a Mini-Series, Elizabeth McGovern faces opposition
from Kate Winslet ( Mildred Pierce), Romola Garai
(The Hour), Emily Watson (Appropriate Adult) and
 Diane Lane (Cinema Verite).

The ceremony, which will take place on Saturday,
January 14th, is the result of six months planning.
Magnums of Moet and Chandon Grand Vintage 2002
have been specially created for the show and more
than 9,000 glasses of champagne will be served
throughout the evening.

A team of forty chefs and 110 kitchen staff will serve
a ‘ global menu’ of ravioli and arugula, seabass,
prime short rib and a trio of desserts.

Presenters lined up to present the coveted awards
include Nicole Kidman, Frieda Pinto, Antonio
 Banderas and Clive Owen.

And should Ms McGovern still be deciding what
dress to wear for the occasion, the Daily Telegraph
fashion page has advised that a black, embellished
Berardi gown, would be the ideal choice for the actress.

George Hatza's top TV 2011: The best programming responded to the times (Reading Eagle)

George Hatza's top TV 2011: The best programming responded to the times

The world in transition: If there was a theme this past year among television's best programs, this would seem to sum it up. The 10 series/TV movies/miniseries I have chosen as the best of the year all follow central characters who are confronting change in various forms.

They are terrified, angry, empowered, grieving, victimized but not complacent. They fight back, some more quickly than others. This metaphor, if you will, speaks with shrewd insight to the age in which we live. Life in this country today is a fearful thing. Despair runs rampant. The nation is divided perhaps more than at any time since the Civil War.

Yes, these shows are about terrorists, impending war, hurricanes, crime, disease, mental illness, specters, dirty politics, greed and betrayal. But they also are about building a life in a time when two steps forward always are followed by one step back.

In order of preference, the following are the best in television for 2011:

1. "Homeland" - This Showtime series starring the magnificent Claire Danes as bipolar CIA agent Carrie Mathison is riddled with paranoia. A Marine POW, Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), returns heroically from Iraq years after being given up for dead, followed by rumors that he was "turned" by terrorists. Byzantine twists lead to enigmatic dead ends. Is Carrie just nuts, or is Brody about to trigger doomsday? This cable thriller boasts the perfect mix of unpredictable action and rich character psychology. It is never anything less than riveting.

2. "Downton Abbey" - Masterpiece Classic on PBS does what no one else can do, which is to re-create impeccably another time and place. In this dazzling miniseries, returning this month as a regular series, a wealthy British family on the eve of World War I clings to traditions despite crumbling class distinctions that lead to sometimes subtle, sometimes explosive class warfare. Sound familiar? The acting is brilliant (e.g., Maggie Smith), but it's the writing and direction that carry this addictive melodrama to something approaching perfection.

3. "Treme" - Set in the cultural jambalaya of New Orleans, this HBO series about Hurricane Katrina's aftermath continues to startle with its spicy blend of jazz and liquor, violation and corruption, pride and prejudice. The police and public officials betray the population while couples betray one another. The sharp schism between those unaffected by the flood and those still trying to put roofs over their heads proves as heartbreaking as it is infuriating. Location and plot merge seamlessly.

4. "The Big C" - The shocking conclusion of this Showtime comedy's second season still resonates. We watched in awe when Cathy Jamison (the amazing Laura Linney), in the fourth stage of melanoma, finished a marathon. What she found at the end of the race was not what fans of this quirky, intelligent, funny and affecting series would have expected. And that is what makes the series so special. The wit is all in the language, how the characters cloak their anguish in biting humor.

5. "Boardwalk Empire" - It's the roaring '20s, and boy, are they howling in Atlantic City in this epic HBO drama series. Prohibition is in full force, and thus so is crime, as gangsters in fancy suits with names like Capone and Rothstein and Darmody and Luciano and Horvitz battle for control of the booze black market. Blacks want in on the action as well, which leads to all sorts of violence. This Jersey melting pot is run by the wealthy Enoch "Nucky" Thompson (a terrific Steve Buscemi), politician and crook, who has met his match this past season in the deceptively demure Margaret Schroeder (Kelly Macdonald), his mistress, whom he married in the season finale. If this series has taught us anything, it's that the women don't need guns and fists to get what they want. Their methods are much more sinister and surreptitious.

6. "Dexter" - Now in its sixth season, this ingenious crime series about a Miami police forensics expert and serial killer (the insanely underrated Michael C. Hall) - who ritually murders horrific criminals he believes have escaped justice - keeps getting better. This season it's all about religion and the End of Days as a fanatical Christian artist and killer re-creates biblical tableaux from Revelation leading up to the apocalypse - using his corpses. The plot works on a literal level, but what it suggests is what keeps the series powerfully fascinating.

7. "American Horror Story" - Leave it to FX to come up with something as genuinely terrifying as this. What's so surprising is that it was created by the team who fashioned "Glee." It's gruesome, sexy, disturbing and ultra-violent. A haunted house in Los Angeles is filled with ghosts; just who is dead and who is alive is often a mystery. But one thing is certain: Whoever moves in is changed forever, and there's no escape. Jessica Lange plays the matron of the proceedings, pathologically seeking revenge and power in a world gone mad. She and her cohorts all seem right at home.

8. "The Good Wife" - With the best acting on network TV, this CBS legal/political series is all about who is in control. It takes place in Chicago, of course, where a mother-in-law can wield as much power as a state's attorney. Personal lives spill into the professional realm and vice versa, with the result that no one has any secrets. Julianna Margulies, in her best role yet as lawyer Alicia Florrick, vacillates with heartbreaking yet chilling ease between the courtroom and the bedroom, the office and the home. And Archie Panjabi, as the law firm's mysterious investigator, may just be the most intriguing character on the tube.

9. "Justified" - Once again, FX inhabits territory no one else would dare to touch: the backwoods of Kentucky where meth and perverse sex are a way of life. Timothy Olyphant, as U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, gets his strength from his white cowboy hat, not to mention his guns. In the second season, all hell broke loose in a battle with a clan of dealers led by the devious Mags Bennett (a great Margo Martindale). The final two episodes proved a spectacle to behold. Ah, that heady mix of poverty and greed, with a splash of bloody violence, has made America what it is today.

10. "Mildred Pierce" - Kate Winslet's towering performance in this daringly reconceived miniseries (based on the 1945 Joan Crawford melodrama) provided just the right amount of can-do Yankee ambition to wring the sentimentality out of the original sob story. The irony is Winslet's British. You'd never know it, though, as she pulls herself out of Depression-era poverty into postwar wealth only to be deceived by her handsome lover (Guy Pearce) and her devious daughter (Evan Rachel Wood). "Mildred Pierce" is about the hypocrisy of the American Dream. However, as much of the country knows all too well these days, dreams can be shattered. The trick is to find the right one, and in this version, Mildred does.

Five runners-up worth honorable mention: ABC's riotous "Modern Family," Showtime's outrageous "Shameless," Fox's inventive "So You Think You Can Dance," Showtime's edgy "Nurse Jackie" and Comedy Central's hilarious, audacious and smart "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart."

True Blood actress Evan Rachel Wood celebrated completing her first fully frontal nude scene by sharing a toast with Kate Winslet.

Evan, 24, stripped off for her role in mini-series Mildred Pierce and despite not wanting to do it, Winslet persuaded her to and was waiting with a drink once it was over.

She said: 'She [Kate] is one of the strongest, bravest women I've met. She's so confident and is so comfortable with her body; which makes her so beautiful.

'I had to appear completely nude and I was going to chicken out, but she really put the scene and that moment into perspective and she was right. I'm so glad I did it. She was waiting with a drink for me afterwards. A toast to my first full frontal. Not that I'm in a hurry to do it again...'

Emmy dead heat between Evan Rachel Wood and Maggie Smith

Upstairs, Downstairs, Mildred Pierce, Melissa Leo, Mare Winningham, Maggie Smith, Evan Rachel Wood, Eileen Atkins, Downton Abbey, Evan Rachel Wood, Maggie Smith, Downton Abbey, Mildred Pierce, Emmys, TV, Primetime Emmys 2011 - Movie/Mini Supp. Actress

It is youth vs. experience as Evan Rachel Wood ("Mildred Pierce") battles Dame Maggie Smith ("Downton Abbey") for the Emmy Award as Best TV Movie/Miniseries Supporting Actress. Our exclusive Gold Derby statistics show a virtual dead heat with Wood's 27/20 odds slightly ahead of the 8/5 odds for Smith.
Wood is the only lady in this competition without a major award on her mantle. In the HBO miniseries, she played Veda Pierce, the outspoken and conniving daughter of Mildred (Kate Winslet). She is being predicted to win by four experts, six editors, and 28% of our users (157 votes).
Smith is a two-time Oscar champ ("The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie," 1969; "California Suite," 1978) and Emmy winner ("My House in Umbria," 2003). For this British production which aired on PBS in America, she played Violet, the Dowager Countess of Grantham, and was always quick with a quip or putdown. She is the overwhelming favorite with users (51% and 281 votes) plus has the support of experts Tim Appelo (The Hollywood Reporter) and Jace Lacob (Daily Beast) and five of our editors.
Next with a shot and 11/2 odds is newly crowned Oscar winner Melissa Leo ("The Fighter"), who played friend and neighbor Lucy Gessler on "Mildred Pierce." She is the pick of experts Frazier Moore (Associated Press) and Jill Serjeant (Reuters), editor Matthew Cormier, and 13% of our users.

The other two ladies in the race are previous Emmy winners but have no real chance this time against such fierce competition. Dame Eileen Atkins ("Upstairs, Downstairs") won this category in 2008 for "Cranford" but now only has 50/1 odds. And way back with 100/1 odds is Mare Winningham ("Mildred Pierce") who won this category in both 1980 ("Amber Waves") and 1998 ("George Wallace").
