A new TV Spot and a collection of new images have been released for The Woman in Black this week. Directed by James Watkins (Eden Lake) and written by Jane Goldman (X-Men: First Class), the film is a big-screen adaptation of Susan Hill’s 1983 horror novel of the same name.
As we edge closer to the film’s release in a month’s time, the trailers keep getting scarier and scarier. To top it off, this latest trailer includes the narration of a young girl who reads a chilling rhyme as British actor Daniel Radcliffe encounters disturbing goings on in a secluded house.
Radcliffe plays the role of Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer in the 1900s who sets about to uncover the truth of a mysterious ghost set on vengeance dressed all in black. When he travels to a remote English village on further exploration into the village’s secrets, he learns that children there routinely die under mysterious circumstances, and begins to encounter fearful visions of the female figure he was warned about.
The film also stars British actors Ciaran Hinds (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Janet McTeer (Albert Nobbs), Roger Allam (The Iron Lady), Tim McMullan, Shaun Dooley, Cathy Sara, David Burke, Victor McGuire, Lucy May Barker, Liz White, and Mary Stockley, and is set to be released on 3rd February.
