Downton Abbey to be turned into a film after Golden Globes win? (METRO)





Hit TV series Downton Abbey could be adapted for the big screen after the show's creator, Julian Fellowes, sparked interest at the Golden Globes after-party.

 Fellowes was reportedly telling people that he'd already had a lot of interest in the film rights to the period drama at the awards bash. A source told The Sun: 'Julian was chatting with various film directors and movie executives about the show and the possibility it would make a fantastic feature film. 'He was very much flying the flag for British TV. They were all chatting about how much of a success the film version would be. Julian was explaining he would have to give the idea a lot of thought and that lots of people have already asked him about film rights.'
