The folks over at Celebitchy have stumbled across a blind item possibly involving "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch and "Downton Abbey" actress Laura Carmichael — and it suggests they not only dated, but that she ditched him because he's a bit too kinky for her taste.
The blind item reads, "This 'Downton Abbey' actress went on a few dates with this foreign born almost A list mostly television actor who every woman seems to love. She says they split because he went all 'Fifty Shades of Grey' on her and she is more of a turn off the lights and close your eyes kind of lover."
It's certainly possible that they coupled up for a brief period, until Carmichael decided she couldn't be Cumberbatch's Irene Adler. Maybe she just couldn't handle those razor-sharp cheekbones?
Then again, Celebitchy points out that CDAN isn't the most reliable source when it comes to blind items.
