'Downton Abbey' Season 4 Gets January 2014 US Premiere Date On PBS The Huffington Post | By Chris Harnick Posted: 01/15/2013 2:04 pm EST

Brace yourselves, "Downton Abbey" fans: "Downton Abbey" Season 4 won't premiere in the US for another year. Yes, it's the usual wait time for the new adventures of the Crawley family, even though the UK will get new eight episodes in the fall of 2013.

In December, PBS was considering airing "Downton" in the US closer to when it airs in the UK. “The audiences for 'Downton' have been terrific,” senior VP and PBS’ chief programming executive John Wilson told THR. “So you can’t say that [airing months earlier in the UK] has knocked the legs out from underneath 'Downton Abbey.' On the other hand, we can’t know how much more terrific it might have been had it aired closer to the UK premiere."

'Downton Abbey': PBS Considers Airing Season 4 Closer To U.K. Air Date Posted: 12/06/2012 10:14 am EST (HUFFINGTON POST)

The third season of "Downton Abbey" is premiering on PBS next month, and the network's executives are already looking ahead to the series' fourth season will hit the airwaves stateside.

“The audiences for 'Downton' have been terrific,” senior VP and PBS’ chief programming executive John Wilson noted in an interview with THR. “So you can’t say that [airing months earlier in the UK] has knocked the legs out from underneath 'Downton Abbey.' On the other hand, we can’t know how much more terrific it might have been had it aired closer to the UK premiere.”

Wilson added that the network is assessing the possibility of airing Season 4 of "Downton Abbey" closer to the UK premiere date. Though that would make US fans happy, one thing about Season 4 is still upsetting: Dan Stevens' decision to duck out of the series.

Jennifer Saunders: 'Absolutely Fabulous' Christmas Special Preview: Vlogs and Vitamins and Video

by Crystal Bell, posted Nov 28th 2011 2:45PM

absolutely fabulous christmas specialEdina, darling, you are looking fabulous. 'Ab Fab' fans, brace yourselves, because Edina and Patsy, the dynamic drunkard duo, are coming back -- just in time for the holidays.

'Absolutely Fabulous,' the cult hit series written and created by star Jennifer Saunders, debuted in 1992 in the UK before ending in 1996 and reviving itself in 2001 with two new seasons. Now Saunders and Joanna Lumley, who plays Edina's hard-partying sidekick, are back with three new 'Ab Fab' specials, including a much-anticipated three-part Christmas special.

The first preview for the 'Ab Fab' Christmas special was recently released, and in true Edina fashion, the public relations professional is seemingly up-to-date on all things web 2.0. She tweets, blogs about her favorite cheese and even vlogs. Her bumbling assistant Bubble even has an iPad to help Edina update all of her social media accounts.

Sadly, there's no sign of our darling Patsy in this minute-long clip, but we do get a glimpse of Mrs. M.

With an all-denim outfit like that, we can't wait to see what kind of trouble Edina and Patsy get into this time around.

The Christmas special is set to air in December on BBC. There's no word on whether the special will air in the US. In the past, the series has aired in the US on Comedy Central, PBS, Oxygen, BBC America and Logo. Watch the clip below.
