'Snow White': So far, which of the two upcoming movies looks the fairest of them all?

Snow White: The classic fairytale so nice, Hollywood made it twice. It’s true: In 2012 moviegoers will have not one, but two re-imaginings of the timeless tale to choose from and already, some strong opinions about Tarsem Singh’s yet-to-be-titled version (starring, among others, Lily Collins, Armie Hammer, Julia Roberts, Sean Bean, and Nathan Lane) and Rupert Sanders’ Snow White and the Huntsman (with Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, and Ian McShane) are being formed. Over the summer, we got our first glimpse of Snow White and the Huntsman at Comic-Con and comments from EW.com readers ranged from “This looks fantastic!” to “Looks like a Tim Burton rip-off.” But now that we’ve seen what the other Snow White film looks like, it’s time to decide once and for all, which looks the fairest of them all?

Looking at Lily Collins and Kristen Stewart‘s Snow Whites side-by-side, it’s clear that we are in for two very different interpretations of the lovely Brothers Grimm’s gal. (As one commenter pointed out, “The name Snow White is in both titles, but they are NOT the same film.”) While I have a feeling Stewart’s Snow White will cause more of an uproar (the character we grew up with never quite looked liked that), it might also garner more interest. Who wants a damsel in distress waiting to be kissed when you’ve got a warrior-like Snow White who looks to be kicking butt and taking names? (All seven of them!) Vote in the Snow White poll below and tell us, based on appearances alone, which one you like better:

How does one pick between two stunning Best Actress winners who are stepping into the shoes of one of the most iconic villains of all-time? At the risk of being put under some spell, I’ll say that they both look they’re going to give poor Snow White a hard time (though based on these photos alone, Julia Roberts looks slightly more Queen, while Charlize Theron looks a bit more Evil.) Okay, now you tell me, PopWatchers, which one of these ladies would you be more likely to take a poisoned apple from? Vote below:

Remember before when I pondered why we’d want a more classic Snow White who was just waiting around to be kissed by a handsome suitor? Well, I forgot to mention that handsome suitor would look an awful lot like Armie Hammer. (In the words of Liz Lemon, he already looks like, “A damn Disney prince.”) Of course, Hammer’s Prince isn’t the only one that would be nice to live happily ever after with. In Snow White and the Huntsman, there’s extra eye candy with Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) riding around. How’s a girl, namely Snow White, supposed to choose? Actually, you do that for her PopWatchers, in the poll below:

After seeing the photos, of which of the Snow White movies are you most excited to see? Or are you equally looking forward to both? Hi ho, hi ho, share in the comments section below!
