Colin Firth 'looking forward' to third 'Bridget Jones'

December 7th, 2011 11:11 AM ET   It's been reported that a third "Bridget Jones" film called "Bridget Jones's  Baby" is in the works, and Colin Firth tells CNN "there's every intention to get that done." And a good thing, too, as it sounds like Firth and his "Jones" co-star Hugh Grant didn't get to spend nearly enough time together. "It'll be nice [to be reunited]," Firth, 51, said of working with the  cast again Tuesday. "It would be like one of those rather tempestuous '70s pop bands trying to get together in a way. We always had a good time." Firth says he and Grant "go back quite a long way, but we very rarely ever worked together, except to pull each other's hair. Both of those films we had very little screen time together which we share. It'll be like a family  reunion. I'm looking forward to it." In the meantime, the Oscar winning actor is starring in this weekend's  release, "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," along with Gary Oldman, who  plays a Cold War spy who has to come out of retirement to track down a Soviet agent. There's been a healthy amount of Oscar buzz surrounding Oldman's  portrayal, and Firth thinks at the very least, Oldman should get a nod. "He's been doing virtuoso work for decades now. He's the actor  every actor in my generation envied and admired and looked to as the person who not only had versatility but he inhabited completely," Firth said. "It's one thing to be dynamic and versatile, but it's another to really make all those roles authentic.
