London, Feb 18 (ANI): Veteran actress Dame Judi Dench has joined a campaign to conserve a modest cinema in Scotland.

By starting to be a patron of the Highland Theatre in Oban, the actress has followed in the footsteps of various artists supporters such as Tilda Swinton, Dougray Scott, Robbie Coltrane and Rowan Atkinson.

The location shut down last summer soon after the owners resolve to go into liquidation, declares the Daily Star.

Officers at Santander back, that has now confiscated at the ownership have predetermined to postpone a public sale to sell off the moviehouse so local citizens can try and raise funds to buyt it.

Scottish neighbors are praying to increase 20,000 pounds to arrange a set out down on the theatre, and desires to at some point gather the full amount of 195,000 pounds which is the asking price.

And Dench is now leading the campaign with her new patron status.

City centre manager Campbell Cameron is desiring to reopen the Highland Theatre as the Phoenix Cinema.

We are very hapy that Dame Judi Dench has given us her support. She has an affinity with the place due to the fact that she visits here on her holidays,” Cameron stated.
