Hermione Norris is to star opposite Martin Clunes in a new two-part ITV drama.
Written by Chris Lang, A Mother’s Son will see the Spooks and Doc Martin stars joined on-screen by former Doctor Who Paul McGann and Alexander Arnold from Skins.
When a teenage schoolgirl is found murdered in the woods near a Suffolk town, the news shocks the whole community, and mother of two Rosie Haleton (Hermione Norris) discovers evidence that her own son may have played a part in the killing.
However, she lives with husband Ben Harley (Martin Clunes) and his two children from a previous marriage, one of whom is also behaving strangely following the murder, and the build-up of secrets and suspicions threatens to tear the family apart.
