English actor Tom Hiddleston broke through stateside as deceitful half-brother and full-on villain Loki in 2011's Thor, but despite playing a baddie there and in the blockbuster follow-up The Avengers, Hiddleston has become a fan favorite. So it's little surprise someone thought to ask him if he might consider getting involved in another Disney property: namely Star Wars Episode VII. And while big name directors have been falling all over themselves to publicly state their disinterest in helming the project, Hiddleston confesses he'd be interested in a role.
Speaking with Digital Spy, Hiddleston describes himself as a "huge fan, especially of the first three" when asked if he'd ever consider taking a part of the already iconic franchise. He confesses, the idea hadn't yet occurred to him but then replied:
"Absolutely, yeah. It would depend on the story and the character and things, but I don't know. Maybe people would associate me too closely with Loki - I hope not."
