Henry Cavill plays coy about 'Fifty Shades of Grey' role in new interview (Photos) FIFTY SHADES OF GREYFEBRUARY 15, 2013BY: BARBIE KAVETSKY (EXAMINER)
Henry Cavill is beginning his media blitz for the upcoming "Man of Steel" and he will be fielding more than just superhero questions. Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" want Cavill in the coveted role of Christian Grey and online chatter will surely come up in interviews. On Feb 15 HenryCavill.org released a Total Film article which tackled the question and the British actor played coy about the role, giving few hints if he is in talks with producers.
Cavill, 29, reiterated the sentiments of the "Fifty Shades" film team, that there needs to be a director and script before casting can begin. “Fifty Shades Of Grey is... erm… it’s all rumours at this stage.” laughed Cavill. “I haven’t got a script or an offer or anything. If I do, that decision would be made when the time comes.” The UK born star admits to not having been offered the role but does not deny being in talks with Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca and E L James. Cavill does go on to mention what it would take to get him on board saying, "It would be all about the script!” Earlier in the interview Cavill discusses his desire to “work with some great directors and experience some great scriptwriting and some great actors to work with again. And hopefully tell a good story.” "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans are hopeful he can do all of that as Christian Grey.
