LONDON, ENGLAND - MARCH 22: Henry Cavill arrives for the European Premiere of 'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice' at Odeon Leicester Square on March 22, 2016 in London, England(Photo : Mike Marsland/Getty Images)

Apart from his appearance in the first two DCEU films, many are wondering whether Superman will be back for Man of Steel 2. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, Director Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill expressed their interest in making the film.

Snyder said that they would love to make the sequel if a good script is developed for the sequel. "I think if we could get a good script it would be great to have a standalone Superman movie. I think that would be fun to do." Snyder said. As reported by Screen Crush, he also added that part of the reason they haven't announced Man of Steel 2 is to support the events in the recently released Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Henry Cavill - VIDEO: The incredible official Batman V Superman trailer is here

Superman vs Batman

Hackers really are the bane of the entertainment industry.

No sooner has some spoilsport leaked the first four episodes on the new series of Game of Thrones, than a grainy pirated copy of the Batman V Superman trailer hit the internet.

In response, the filmmakers had no choice but to release the official trailer days earlier than anticipated.

Fans have been scrambling to get their first glimpse of Ben Affleck as Batman taking on Henry Cavill’s Superman in 2016’s biggest blockbuster. And things are not looking good for Clark Kent. He may have saved the world from the evil plans of General Zod, but Superman still isn’t exactly getting a hero’s welcome.

This is post-modern superhero territory, after all. Now you are just as likely to be seen as a threat than as a saviour.

The trailer opens with cries of “Alien!” and “This is our planet”, voices raised in fear and anger.

Conflicting voices argue that he is trying to help or that he is out of control and bring up the age-old quote, ‘Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.’

There is a Messianic image of Superman floating and backlit by the sun before rising chants of “Go home, go home, go home” accompany an image of a fallen statue scrawled with the words, “FALSE GOD.”

Henry Cavill sports a black eye while enjoying a night out on Sunday (March 15) in London, England.

The 31-year-old British actor was seen wrapping his arm around a mystery woman on the same night.

Henry reportedly sustained the black eye during a recent rugby match with friends, but that definitely didn’t stop him from going out!

Henry Cavill to Star in Simon West’s Thriller Stratton

COMINGSOON.COM
BY MAX EVRY ON FEBRUARY 25, 2015

SCREEN DAILY reports that noted action director Simon West (Con Air, The Expendables 2) will direct Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) in Stratton, which will shoot in the UK and Italy this summer.

The special forces thriller will feature Cavill as the title character John Stratton tracking down an international terrorist cell. The film is based on the first in a series of eight novels by pseudonymous author Duncan Falconer, an ex-SBS (Special Boat Service) commando.

“I’ve long wanted to tell a story about the British Special Forces and finally the opportunity has come around,” Cavill said. “Duncan Falconer’s work is fantastic and we are incredibly fortunate to be working with him so closely. We plan to convert the books to cinema as accurately as possible while keeping them topical. Simon West is a perfect match for this movie with his ability to marry story-telling and action, both of which are essential to do this project justice!”

West stated, “I have been looking for an opportunity to establish a new UK based action character for some time and Stratton fits the bill perfectly. The greatest challenge was always going to be who can play a character like that and bring depth and realism. I have followed Henry Cavill’s work for while now and I cannot imagine a better actor to take on this role. Henry is the reason this project is now possible.”

Henry Cavill & Armie Hammer in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Sneak Peek

PEOPLE MAGAZINE
BY DANA ROSE FALCONE @DanaRoseFalcone 02/11/2015 AT 11:00 AM EST

Henry Cavill ditches his Superman suit for a sleek tux in this summer's silver-screen adaptation of the 1960s TV series The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

The Man of Steel actor calls the film, which is directed by Guy Ritchie, "a cool, sexy and especially not heavy Cold War spy thriller."

Cavill, 31, stars as CIA agent Napoleon Solo alongside Armie Hammer, who plays KGB agent Illya Kuryakin. The two put aside their longstanding hostilities to stop a mysterious international criminal organization and prevent worldwide catastrophe.

Anna Karenina's Alicia Vikander takes the lead female spot as the daughter of a mysteriously vanished German scientist who helps Cavill and Hammer's characters infiltrate the international criminal organization. Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby) joins the cast as Victoria Vinciguerra, the driving force behind a worldwide shipping company with a questionable past.

And Hugh Grant takes on the role of Waverly, the head of the U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law and Enforcement) organization.

"They're both wonderful people and a pleasure to work with," Cavill says of Hammer and Grant, whom he enjoyed joking around with on set. "Any funny stories I'm going to keep to myself, though. No telling tales out of school."

The film displays some of the era's most distinct fashions, designed by Oscar-nominated Joanna Johnston.

Cavill says the film's unique style helped him get into character, adding that "it's very defining" to act in costume.

Still, his favorite part was working with Ritchie.

Superman Henry Cavill and his camp are still mum about the controversy surrounding him and his new girlfriend Marisa Gonzalo despite his many fans expressing their desire for the gorgeous actor to speak up.

While every Cavill fan knew that the Man of Steel actor is usually very private when it comes to his romantic relationships, he cannot just pretend that everything is going well between him and his legions of fans when it comes to the new apple of his eye.

We may not know exactly his reasons for choosing to keep quiet, but as long as he is with Gonzalo, now even more famous for being dubbed as "animal killer," we are guessing this issue will not come off anytime soon. After all, Cavill is one of Hollywood's A-list actors, so much is expected from him, and that includes his choices on women, sad to say.

However, not all of his fans feel the same way as some still support the Immortals actor and are coming to his defense. One fan even challenged Save the Animals asking for proof if Cavill's relationship with Gonzalo is true.

Henry Cavill done shooting 'Batman vs Superman,' says being Superman is hard

CHRISTIAN TODAY

Clark Kent is a free man. Henry Cavill has completed filming his parts in "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" and is now free to do whatever he wants. Unfortunately, this could mean that Cavill won't be heading down to New Mexico to film other parts of the movie. Sorry, New Mexico.

How does Cavill feel about completing his scenes in the movie? In an interview with Chicago Tribune, Cavill pointed out what hard work it is to be Superman.

"It was very difficult work. It was very physically demanding. You can't just sit in the harness and expect it to do all the work. You're not going to look like you're flying. You have to pay attention to what your feet and legs are doing. It's like dancing," Cavill said.

Director Zack Snyder and his team are packing up from Detroit and Chicago and are now moving to New Mexico where sets have been built already. According to Tech Times, since Cavill has already finished his scenes, it could mean that "Dawn of Justice" production is nearing completion. Well, it makes total sense.

IN the mix: The Superman hunk was helping raise money for the Royal Marines along with 40 other competitors

Superman commitments may well have been put to the side on Saturday morning, but Henry Cavill’s latest public appearance was no less heroic as worked up a sweat on The Rock Run in Gibraltar.

British star Cavill, 31, was joined by brother Nik Cavill – a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Marines – for the 350th anniversary run, which sees sponsored participants undertake an exhausting five kilometre uphill climb for charity.

Sporting the fundraising initiative’s luminous yellow T-shirt and black shorts, the actor, currently working on forthcoming epic Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, ran alongside his brother and 40 other competitors as part of the fundraising initiative, which generates money for the Royal Marines.

Watch Henry Cavill Meet One Of The World’s Rarest Tortoise [Video]

THE INQUISITOR

Henry Cavill at Durrell conservation

Henry Cavill plays Superman in the 2016 movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so you may be interested to see how he reacts when coming face to face with Madagascar’s Ploughshare Tortoise. The video, shared by the charity, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, of which the actor is an ambassador, shows the cute meeting.

When Cavill was on break from filming the Man of Steel sequel, he returned to his home in Jersey, in the U.K. and took the time to embark in a couple of worthy causes. One of them was the Durrell Wildlife Conservation trust, which he visited while he was in England.

On their website, the organization talks about how cool it was to have Henry as a guest in early August and how enthusiastic he was about the work they do on behalf of endangered species.

“Henry might be an actor by trade, but the infectious energy he brought with him – and the sheer happiness we saw when he met our animals – was 100 percent real.”

“That’s the thing; to a person, everyone at Durrell – from Volunteer to Director – is here because they love animals, and care about the fate of those species that need human help, if they aren’t to become extinct. It turns out that we have a soul mate in Hollywood, and his name is Henry!”

Superman actor and Jersey native Henry Cavill says he is "enormously proud" to be an ambassador for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

The actor, currently on a break from filming Batman v Superman, said he visited the wildlife park as a child.

He said trust staff do the "seemingly impossible" and he was humbled to help.

Durrell was founded as a conservation charity over 50 years ago by author and naturalist Gerald Durrell.

'Superhuman'

Speaking at the park, Mr Cavill said: "What they do is close to my heart and something that deserves close attention.

"I feel that saving the diversity of life on our planet will be seen as increasingly important in the not-too-distant future."
