MSN UK posted their interview with Laura Carmichael, Lady Edith, for their Downton Week countdown.

The interview features two clips from the new series of Lady Edith, the first scene is with Isobel Crawley (Penelope Wilton) at Crawley House is at the beginning of the interview and the second one with Michael Gregson (Charles Edwards) in London at the 2:44 mark.

MSN UK has released an interview with Hugh Bonneville for their Downton Week countdown. The interview features clips of two scenes from Downton Abbey season 4, one of Robert and Cora in the very beginning of the video and one with Robert and Branson, at the 2:40 mark.

As part of MSN Uk's Downton Week countdown the have posted an interview with Rob James Collier, who plays Thomas. There is a fantastic clip shown at the beginning from a scene with Thomas and the new nanny, Nanny West, played by Di Botcher, with baby Sybbie. It looks amazing!!!

Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch Set For TV Detective Of The Year At National Television Awards?

Benedict Cumberbatch could find himself taking home a National Television Award for 'Best TV Detective Of The Year' following the news that he has been nominated in the new category. However, the Sherlock actor has some stiff competition. 

Up against Benedict in the category that will feature in the list of categories including 'Best Drama' and 'Best Talent Show', is iconic actor David Suchet for his portrayal of Hercule Poirot and Broadchurch stars David Tennant and Olivia Colman for their roles as DI Hardy and DS Miller. 

Whilst it will be interesting to see who wins in the new category, we're also going to be excited about seeing who will take home the award for the 'Best Drama Performance' with Downton Abbey still prominent in the line up following the nominations for Hugh Bonneville, Dame Maggie Smith, Michelle Dockery and Jim Carter.

James McAvoy gets Filth-y

Filth certainly shows James McAvoy like we’ve never seen him before: smoking, drinking, snorting, shagging, cursing, punching, and any other form of misbehaviour you can imagine.

In the adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s book, McAvoy plays Scottish policeman Bruce Robertson, investigating a murder, missing his wife, seeking a promotion and generally behaving badly.

The underlying mental troubles that lead to the bad behaviour were what drew in McAvoy. “It was a portrayal of someone with severe mental health issues that’s not just sad and depressing,” McAvoy said after a London screening last night. “It was about finding the thing that makes him not just a surreal caricature which is his fear.”

Ultimately, despite the despicable behaviour, the filmmakers want the audience to care for Bruce. “We’re trying to make you feel for him, that should be the shocking thing.”

Director Jon S Baird said he relished the challenge of “making this despicable character, if not likable, followable.”
