Colin Firth Can’t Wait “To Be Reunited” With ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’ Cast

Hurrah! When I opted to follow Colin Firth on Twitter (a little late to the game, but I’ve been preoccupied with the royal family), I stumbled upon Mark Darcy and Bridget Jones‘s accounts. Best. Wednesday. Ever!
At last night’s premiere of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy at the Arclight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, Firth talked to CNN about the third installment of Bridget Jones’s Diary and working with Hugh Grant again (Daniel Cleaver, emotional f*ckwit).

“There’s every intention to get that done,” Firth said, referring to the film – reportedly titled Bridget Jones’s Baby. “It’ll be nice [to be reunited]. It would be like one of those rather tempestuous ’70s pop bands trying to get together in a way. We always had a good time.” Marry me, Mr. Darcy.

A Look Back At Both Bridget Jones’s Diary Premieres

Firth said that he and Grant have known each other for ages, but didn’t share a lot of screen time together in Diary, other than throwing down fisticuffs. “We very rarely ever worked together, except to pull each other’s hair. Both of those films we had very little screen time together which we share. It’ll be like a family reunion. I’m looking forward to it,” Firth told a CNN reporter.

Also at the premiere: Gary Oldman, Emily Blunt, Olivia d’Abo, Mark Strong, Gray Damon, and Corbin Bleu.
