Deadline is reporting that The Full Monty helmer Peter Cattaneo is in talks to direct Bridget Jones 3 for Universal Pictures and Working Title.
The third installment, which starts shooting early next year, will bring back together Ren�e Zellweger, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant. They previously appeared in Bridget Jones's Diary, which earned $281.9 million worldwide in 2001, and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, which added another $262.5 million in 2004.
Author Helen Fielding wrote the script with David Nicholls and Paul Feig, the Bridesmaids helmer who was previously attached to direct.
Working Title's Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing with Jonathan Cavendish.
